I haven't heard anything like that, but who knows? If true, I'm sure the investigators are all over that. There are a few countries that appear quite interested in destabilizing the U.S. Taking a shot at a candidate -- successful or not -- would be a good way to do that. It wouldn't much matter which one. And, if I recall correctly, the shooter's search history included looking up events for both campaigns.

by the way, the representative should resign. Leaking information like that during the course of an investigation that involves protecting the safety of candidates is unconscionable.
