Good, Lord. You’re the David Goggins of the board. Great job on your lifestyle, and glad to see you made it through all that mess. Very motivating.

Your comparison is far too kind, those ultramarathoners are no freaking joke and Goggins is a god among men. I barely have the patience for the local 15k.

All the credit belongs with my wife anyways. Not that I was particularly unhealthy when we first met but I had probably all the same dumb understandings about health and fitness as any normal 19 year old and I relied on her expertise and knowledge to end up where I am now. It really helps to have a partner in crime on these kinds of journeys, especially one as smart as mine.

Being healthy and in top shape will also increases your chances of surviving a head on collision. You wouldn't tell someone to go out and lose a bunch of weight instead of wearing a seatbelt.

My background: I am 6'1" and a buck eighty-five currently, I've intentionally pushed my weight up to 200 when I was more into strength training but I didn't like how I felt. I lift weights 3 to 4 days a week. I ride my bike to work when I go into the office (only 2 or 3 days a week) , it is 6 miles door to door. I hike regularly including at least one major trip to much more difficult terrain once a year. I do not eat the "standard American diet" and I only drink occasionally. I don't smoke. As I type this my heart rate is 53 beats per minute.
Well there you go. Xeno is a veritable god. I knew he was! 8-)

For those of you who work in healthcare and the vaccine was mandated:

Suppose there would have been a undetectable fake vaccine passport available for 20$ that included electronic record falsification etc., would have have spent 20$ on the fake passport or would you have still received the vaccine?

Of course they wouldn’t commit a felony
Fair point.

For those of you who work in healthcare:

Suppose prior to getting vaccinated, the Supreme Court universally blocked vaccine mandates. For those who had not already tested positive for Covid, would you have got the vaccine?

Would a given healthcare worker who had not already tested positive get the vaccine if it weren't required?

Would you have?

Again. A hypothetical. Had I tested positive for antibodies, likely not. I am not solidly decided.
Sure, but the question was if you hadn't tested positive for antibodies. What then?

Man, ten-milers are great. I loved them so much I ran one, once. Heh.

Yeah, spouses that are motivated to be healthy are awesome. I’m sure your wife would echo your sentiments about you. You probably motivate her to be better herself. One of the great things about being in a union where the couple is paired well and pacing with each other is how you go further than you otherwise might if you were by yourself.

I understand, Cultellus. When I was 11, I used to respond to my Sunday School teachers in the same manner. Anyway, your resistance to answer indicates to me that you probably would get the vaccine when available, even if not mandated, provided you had good reason to believe that you had not been infected yet.
