Then do it dumbass. If every Trump voter donates just $82, you can get your wall.

But in reality the measly $20 million you raised shows that your tiny group of bigots is much, much smaller than you imagined.

you say "donate" but it seems like we've already paid taxes and we're arguing how to spend that.
Typical Democrat you are.

She requested a delay or a hand-written address ala how it thankfully was done prior to Wilson. A state of the Union address requires a joint resolution from Congress that was not passed. It's normally a formality, but without it, it is no more legal than Pelosi breaking into the Rose Garden to give a speech. Trump has people who know this even if he doesn't. This is a deliberate PR move, which is neat given that the it signifies is naked authoritarianism and in a healthier country that's not something that anyone would speculate is good PR.

He's announcing his intent to disregard the law. Presumably he isn't going to engage in a military standoff with Congressional forces, so "force" in this sense is symbolic.

I hope he does it, and just adds another broken law/impeachable offense to his resume.

Sad that you actually need to explain these things to morons like subs.

I can imagine a scenario in which Trump shows up to the Capitol steps with press and Republican politicians at his tow and is turned down by the Sergeant at Arms. What a awful zoo of Trump's making that would be.

I can't fathom him trying to push past that. That's turning the temperature up too quickly on the proverbial boiled frog that our country is becoming.

You know no such thing. You should know, but you just refuse to consider the actual data on the cost/benefit of immigration.

The wall isn’t security — it’s security theater. It’s the kind of boondoggle conservatives are generally against. Lots of money could be saved by just building a giant statue of a hand flipping the bird at Mexico and Central America.

Pelosi: No State of the Union in the House until shutdown ends

Washington (CNN)House Speaker Nancy Pelosi rebuffed President Donald Trump on Wednesday, saying she would not allow him to deliver his State of the Union in the House chamber while the government is shut down.

Trump had insisted earlier in a letter that he was planning on presenting his annual address from the chamber of the US House next week as planned, essentially daring the body's top Democrat to formally disinvite him from delivering the yearly message.

Hours later, Pelosi appeared to take the dare, saying she would refuse to bring up for a vote a measure that would allow Trump to speak.

"I am writing to inform you that the House of Representatives will not consider a concurrent resolution authorizing the President's State of the Union address in the House Chamber until the government has opened," Pelosi wrote.

Speaking from the White House Roosevelt Room as Pelosi's letter became public, the President vowed to formally respond soon.

"I'm not surprised," Trump said. "It's really a shame what's happening with the Democrats. They've become radicalized. They don't want to see crime stopped."

Asked about a new venue, Trump said only: "We'll see."
