The latter may very well be more likely to inspire violence. Or branding them rape apologists or any of the other bazillion things. On what basis can you assert otherwise? This is precisely why outliers are filtered. This one guy isn't proof of anything. Just as the guy who shot Scalise isn't. If large numbers of Trump supporters were going around body slamming reporters, maybe you'd have a point.
More Stupublican spin. How does pointing out that the Side B is killing millions, encourage anyone on Side A to kill? Makes no damned sense.
Branding people rape apologists doesn't inspire violence either, it is just basic reality when an entire political party gleefully supports a man who sexually assaults women ( I could be referring to any number of known Republican offenders).
This one guy is proof that Trump's rhetoric is dangerous. If Trump had never attacked the media and continued to attack Hillary, insisting she's a criminal and a threat to America, this nimrod wouldn't haver a van with anti-media stickers all over it and he wouldn't feel Democrats were a threat to him. But he worships Trump, and this is all Trump ever talks about.
You're desperately trying to perform any kind of mental gymnastic to come up with a parallel, but the problem is no parallels exist and you're brain isn't that limber.

recently a man groped a woman on a plane and said it was OK because the President said so. How can a society who put this man in office argue with that?
