So Trump suggests we inject ourselves with disinfectant and sunlight to kill coronavirus.
Maybe we should dig up Josef Mengele and see if he thinks it'll work.

Every. Single. damned. Day.

The saddest part is his cult will spin this so they believe their crap sandwiches taste amazing.

Just into today's post-pouting briefing. He's being coached. You can see it. Probably best to wait until it's over to comment but it's clear as day he's being coached.

I just have to say that the little bags they put in bags of jerky to keep it dry that have the warning "DO NOT EAT THIS" always struck me as silly and unnecessary. Who would be dumb enough to eat that?

Now I realize it's probably the most relevant message a Trump supporter will get in any given day.

Some Schmo, "Now I realize it's probably the most relevant message a Trump supporter will get in any given day."

You mean Trump asking if nukes could stop a hurricane, or raking leaves prevents forest fires, or suggesting "windmills" (turbines) cause cancer, or that climate change is a Chinese hoax, or making anti-vaxxer statements, or... lessee... that Obama was born in Kenya, or he'd run into a school unarmed to stop a school shooting, or... what else... something about a moat with alligators at the border isn't relevant?

Huh. Well. In case anyone forgets a short list from Google on "relevant" comments Trump supporters don't seem to mind:

"Women, you have to treat them like crap."

"Nobody respects women more than I do."

"Nobody loves the Bible more than me."

"There’s nobody that’s done so much for equality as I have"

"Nobody’s ever been more successful than me."

"There's nobody bigger or better at the military than I am."

"Nobody in the history of this country has ever known so much about infrastructure as Donald Trump."

"Nobody knows more about trade than me"

“Nobody knows more about taxes than I do, maybe in the history of the world.”

“I know more about renewables than any human being on earth.”

"I know tech better than anyone"

"This is the only musical: the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth. Right? The brain, more important than the mouth, is the brain. The brain is much more important."

"Sorry losers and haters, but my I.Q. is one of the highest -and you all know it! Please don't feel so stupid or insecure, it's not your fault"

“I’m very highly educated. I know words; I have the best words.”

"Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart"

"I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius....and a very stable genius at that!"

"I am the chosen one."

"I think I'm much more humble than you would understand."

I mean, crap. Who wouldn't vote for a guy like that?

Well sure, all of those a relevant comments. I'm just saying that given the level of sophistication we're dealing with, not eating things marked poison is probably among the most immediately important massages a Trump supporter will read in any given day, given their willingness to live in a world where common sense is optional.

Of course, this relies on two assumptions which may be unfair:

- Trump supporters read
- Trump supporters follow sound advice

So, ya know, it's only relevant to the extent those two things are true.

I guess what I'm really saying is that I always wondered who those "DO NOT EAT" messages were written for, and now I know it's for Trump's base.

Dumb comments, amiright?
The short version is that the former VP’s son received millions in Chinese investments, was placed on the board of a Chinese company, and was involved with several figures current being targeted by the FBI.

When asked whether those things would pose a risk to his campaign, this was the elder Biden’s answer:

JOE BIDEN: "My son's business dealings [in China] were not anything what everybody that he's talking about, not even remotely, number one."

Last night Brian Williams owned Mike Pence.

Pence's excuse for not wearing a mask at the Mayo Clinic was because he wanted to be able to respectfully look the doctors in the eyes.

Williams said, "Instructions for our audience. If the mask on your face impairs your vision, you're doing it wrong."

I know right. I have to wonder if they're all just giant dumbshits or if they think WE are the giant dumbshits. In any case, Pence is simply kissing Trump's self-serving propagandic ass.

Yesterday Trump told a journalist that we will not only be testing 5 million people per day, but we're going to surpass that.

Today he spent five minutes insisting he never said anything about 5 million tests.

Something he just said yesterday. On video.

After Katie Miller, Pence's press secretary, tested positive for Covid-19.

"This is why the whole concept of tests aren't necessarily great," the president continued. "The tests are perfect, but something can happen between a test where it's good and then something happens and all of the sudden. She was tested very recently and tested negative, and then today I guess for some reason she tested positive."

All those doctors who said Trump really understands this stuff are probably retracting their statements.
