My oldest son is in downtown Seattle at a peaceful protest. But several other groups within a couple blocks have gotten violent, setting fires and smashing windows. He’s heading back to his bus stop to get out of there. I’m watching on TV and texting with him, feeling sick. I won’t relax until he’s out of there.

My oldest son is in downtown Seattle at a peaceful protest. But several other groups within a couple blocks have gotten violent, setting fires and smashing windows. He’s heading back to his bus stop to get out of there. I’m watching on TV and texting with him, feeling sick. I won’t relax until he’s out of there.

He will be okay. Just relax. Seattle has ranked as one of the safest cities for pedestrians.

We can't leave the house for work but going out to burn down the city is perfectly fine.
