I like Kyle, generally a great show. Presidency does age people, and Biden has aged. Doubt he is as sharp as he was a few years ago. He’s still better than Trump.

It helps that Biden isn't a criminal in thought, word, and deed.

Not being a criminal in thought, word, and deed is enough for Republicans to hate him.

I have not watched the video I'm linking below yet so that my comment here isn't influenced by it. Dr. Gupta is calling for Biden to undergo cognitive testing. The more I've thought about this, and although I haven't heard his commentary yet, I think he's right and here's why. It's kind of like the elephant in the room that's taken over the media, disrupted the campaign by pulling focus on Biden's health and well being and NOT on Trump's misbehavior and constant lying.

If Joe Biden knew he wasn't well prior to the debate-free debate, he should have rescheduled citing illness. Instead, he had a phenomenally "bad night" and the clean up effort is killing his reputation.

First it was he had a cold, then it was travel fatigue, and now it's he needs more sleep. What a messy clean up effort! I know that when I myself cross time zones it messes with me for a couple of days. It's very possible for jet lag to continue up to 2 weeks in some folks. I also know what when I travel by air, I sometimes end up sick by the time I get home. So all of the above three explanations can be true at the same time.

I question the judgement of Biden and his campaign staff's decision to follow through with the debate as scheduled when he and those around him probably knew he wasn't in top form. He's left to put out fires and hardly anyone is focused on Trump's dishonesty. There needs to be a solid fact checking of Trump's repetitive lying in the debate. Where is it?

Anyway...here's the vid if anyone is interested. I'll watch it now myself. I pay attention to Dr. Gupta because I find him free of bias. We'll see...

Person woman man camera tv.

Give. Me. A. Break.

I have a better idea: self-important media personalities of all kinds ought to shut their pie holes and stop making everything about Biden when the elephant in the room is Trump AND HIS CRONIES ATTACKING CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT.

Media companies: you are killing us here. Stop, just stop.

The Gupta essay:

https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/05/health/g ... index.html
Ugh. If he wants to take a test, then let him take it. If he wants to publicize the results, let him do so. If he feels he needs to step down from the race and Kamala can take his place and use the funds already raised, then he can do so. Trump will likely win, and we will likely lose our Republic.

No one has enforced similar requirements on Trump with any accountability. He was insane in his first term, yet there he is. Doctors have opined on his unfitness for office, to no avail or practical outcome. But let’s do listen to Sanjay and his earnest solicitude that is good for his brand.

It only leads to defeat.

Or, here’s a thought. Biden continues, and he wins, and if there is a real problem, the Vice President is sworn in. Because, after all, that is why there is a Veep. And KH is able to step up. Her ability to defeat Trump, OTOH, is much more uncertain and even doubtful.

Joe punches back in Wisconsin!

FED UP Biden GOES ON OFFENSE in Wisconsin Speech

Sample:
Joe Biden wrote: He said in his Fourth of July speech, five years ago, he said, George Washington's army won the Revolution by taking control of the airports from the British. Talk about me misspeaking?

I don't think it's responsible or wise, for anyone who is an American, no matter what political ideology you happen to ascribe to, to continue to pretend that President Biden is well. We all ought to come to terms with the reality that we have all been lied to.

Here is a very recent post-debate clip from Sky News Australia - "Sleeping, shuffling and stuttering: Joe Biden has lost his mind"
