So...here is my question. Is Dog the Bounty Hunter, Doug Chapman, a real bounty hunter? Does he have skills and connections with which to pull this off?

I virtually know nothing about him. I think he had a reality show? Is he for real legit or has he been for real legit during his life as a tracker?

If I had to throw a dart and hit something fast, I'd say he's on the AT.

I’d be surprised if he were on the AT. There’s a lot of traffic, and the hikers along with the ATC are very chatty and internet-connected. Tons of hikers are on social media and I guarantee you they’re all on the look out for Brian Laundrie. The trail is also dotted with towns, very usable public access points, and tons of roads hikers have to cross. It’d be hard to hide in plain sight as it were. It’s not impossible, and some criminals have used the AT in the past, but Brian Laundrie is a national ‘celebrity’ and I don’t think he’d last too long on that particular trail.
