One does not feel obliged to acknowledge countries that are younger than oneself. Apparently.

This was another one that I had immediately but only because of proximity to all the geography games we are playing. This time it was Globle and not Worldle, this was an answer there just a few days ago (I don't play that one every day so it may have actually been the last one I did).honorentheos wrote: ↑Mon Jun 06, 2022 12:03 pmToday's was interesting. The flag wasn't familiar but the shield on it made it seem like it came from a certain part of the world to me. My first guess was less than 300 miles from the answer. But then I guessed wrong twice before getting it on my fourth.

Today was tough for me, I didn't nail it until the capital (why I knew that and not anything else I'll never know, likely some terrible media depiction of the country from a throw-away action movie). You'd think that the unique shape would have stuck in my brain at some point but it didn't. I knew the continent pretty much immediately as I seem to generally know what I don't know but after that I was just naming countries, most of which I knew were wrong, just to get more clues.

Am I right in thinking the enclave country in proximity was an answer recently?

I believe so but hard to recall, I feel like quite a few of the countries so far have been on this coast line.honorentheos wrote: ↑Tue Jun 07, 2022 2:13 pmAm I right in thinking the enclave country in proximity was an answer recently?

for today if you get a clue that says highest point is ten feet do not believe this. Aside from being unrealistic Wikipedia note a high point well above this surf side elevation

06-08-2022: I got it on the first guess, but I think the country was too easy to brag about this. Am I right?

First try for me as well. I take my victories no matter how straight forward.Dr. Shades wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 10:42 am06-08-2022: I got it on the first guess, but I think the country was too easy to brag about this. Am I right?

I also got it in one, but only because 1) the flag seemed familiar and 2) hints from other posters that it should be an easy one. Frankly, this would not have been an easy one for me without the clue that it should be an easy one.

Hmm, that’s an interesting concept. Let’s test it again:Bret Ripley wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 2:06 pmFrankly, this would not have been an easy one for me without the clue that it should be an easy one.
06-09-2022: I got today’s country on the very first try, too. But just like yesterday, it was so easy that I don’t think I have the right to brag about having done so.
