Oh, cats. I am not a cat lover and yet I house and feed them.

Right now we have 2 cats.

Chester a.k.a. "Chest Hair". Orange long haired Tabby. Hand me down cat who was on his way to the Humane Society. Declawed. No detectable brain.

Blackie a.k.a. "Johnny Blackie" a.k.a. "John Black". Black long haired something or other. Hand me down skinny little barn cat when he arrived. Best mouser on the planet. Leaves guts on the door step. Very popular around Halloween.

I will not bore you with a list of the deceased or the circumstances of their demise.

Hey beastie,

Is that the computer (in the second cat photo) from which a thousand smack downs have been launched?

Naw, that's actually my daughter's computer, which mainly functions as a music storage device.

I know it is hard to believe that such a callous hard man could own a cat, but yes I do.

I will state that he is the best looking cat on this thread, if not the board.

Hey! Why did you take the pictures of your kitty down? They were really good!

I especially loved how you caught his tongue sticking out. Too cute. And yeah, he is a good looking cat, B&L!

This is my baby Leo, he is a Bengal cat. They are bred from leopards three times removed. He is a doll and so affectioninate, curious and playful. This is a picture of him a few months ago so he has grown a lot. My hubby is his favorite person, he jumps on him and heads butts him and lays in his arms on his back like a baby.

We are a family of cat lovers and have always had cats. We had to put our last cat Tigger down because he had chronic renal failure. I still miss him terribly he was a sweetie and very loved.

I can't fathom how anyone could not love a cat.

My cat looks a lot like yours. She's an ocicat, bred to look like an ocelot. She has huge ears and some cool striping. I'll post a pic when I get a chance.

Ahhh so I get to brag about my cat! :-)

I have the most fabulous, unbelievable, amazing, unique cat on the planet! :-)

I'm NOT exaggerating! LOL!

Chloe seriously thinks she is a human. She has to sit in a chair at the table while we eat. She is not allowed to get ON the table but she insists on sitting in her very own chair. She must be with me each moment of the day, but she does not want to just watch, she has to do whatever I am doing. If I am reading she wants to be next to me with a book to flip pages. If I am writing she wants a pencil and paper, if I am painting she requires a paintbrush too. If I am folding laundry she tries to fold something. When I cook she is not allowed to be on the counters so she has a little ledge where she sits so she can be involved.

She wakes me up each morning at the correct time, and knows the schedule of every family member. She has this amazing sense of time knowing when someone is coming home, when they are leaving etc.

She plays board games with us, she literally MUST have cards or game pieces to move across the board, she rolls the dice and sits right at the edge of the board to play.

Chloe talks to us too! She has a whole little vocabulary of sounds and responses depending on what we are saying. I truly think she thinks she is saying human words. She comes when she is called, follows instructions, and likes to play like a dog.

Something funny...Chloe always lays on her back with her head tilted way back so she is looking upside down. I have never known a cat do do this.

Oh, yeah, and she is gorgeous as well! Totally black with bright yellow eyes! :-)

How do you pronounce that name?
