Oh, he knows it was offensive. This is Kevin proffering his middle finger after being laughed off his why-can't-I have-another-wife polygamy thread.Marcus wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 3:49 am
I just wanted to follow up on this. kevinsims, I am having a very difficult time believing you don’t know how offensive this is. And if, by some some small chance you didn’t mean it to be offensive, then the level of naïveté exhibited here is monumental.
What exactly was your intent in making this post?

Well, lucky for you guys KS will show up in a week or two, arbitrarily pick a post from the first page, respond to it with some obstinate post ignoring all the other answers, and then disappear again. It’s awesome. Good form. Not aggravating at all.

So the OP is deemed disingenuous from the get and I didn't catch it, right?

And you are the better person for it. I wouldn't worry about it, all the responses seemed sincere but yes the OP seems to think posting what some Mormons think (for example, the bizarre notion that Mormons are better at everything and anything than "non-Mormons") is a form of entertainment.Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 12:31 amSo the OP is deemed disingenuous from the get and I didn't catch it, right?
It really doesn't seem to work out for him, EVER, so i have no idea why he continues to embarrass himself in this manner.

I do have reason to hope about my powers of discernment since I've had him on ignore for months now. Of course the nature of this thread is why I commented. He doesn't need to know why that is, but you know the reason. Good intentions...Marcus wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 12:40 amAnd you are the better person for it. Baseball, basketball, football, soccer and other club sports programs are big business and non-religious. There are also chess clubs, dance, among other activities kids can do without religion. But you knew this already or couldn't get beyond your myopic desire to get them atheists.KevinSim wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 3:29 amThe first and third Wednesday of each month my grandson (who my wife and I are raising) enjoys going to Activity Day for Boys, an hour of playing games in our church's cultural hall with a dozen boys roughly his age, facilitated by two adults who do a pretty good job of finding fun things for them to do. Do atheists have programs like this for their young children? I'm aware that the Unitarian Universalist Church often functions as a sort of church equivalent for atheists, so maybe there are programs for kids through them. Is there anything else?
Myth is misused by the powerful to subjugate the masses all too often.

Yes. Although not a formalized program per se, that which your grandson does during the times other than those two hours each month are what Atheist kids do.

Well. We assume so. You point is not a forgone conclusion when one is raised Mormon, as many here would likely attest.Dr. Shades wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 3:24 amYes.
