It's easy to see American citizens losing their sense of pride in our country when we elected such a moron and despot to be our leader.
Yeah, I'm not a Biden fan either.
If a third of the country is only interested in "owning the libs" and is willing to let the country burn to do so
Many parts of the country did burn (literally - but I think our mainstream media called it "mostly peaceful protests") but I don't think you understand who it is that is willing to let it burn.
what exactly do we have to be proud about?
You can't think of anything?
Did you have any opinions about the Gen Z number being 16%?
Fernando,
Ceeboo is only telling you half of the good news.
As you point out, there are quite a few liberals in education who are Marxists, and openly refer to themselves as Marxists. Many more are perhaps secretly Marxists, but it's a matter of record that a very many of left-leaning academics consider themselves Marxists.
Donald Trump has been making a new promise to his base during his recent rallies, saying:
Now, if you don't know much about immigration law, which you almost certainly don't, what this means is say that I'm a US citizen and a Marxist, I go on vacation to France, and then when I come back they scan my American passport. If Trump's committee to identify Marxists has me on a database that gets searched upon the scan, then I'm denied entry into the United States.
I'm curious if you think this would be a good first step for a president to rectify the problem that you and Ceeboo so deeply believe exists.
"Ceeboo so deeply believes exists?" Can you point me to the post where I said anything at all about what you are suggesting here? I only had one exchange with Fernando in the thread, so, even for someone like you who struggles to think clearly, rationally, and with balance, it really shouldn't be that difficult for you to point it out to me.
I'm curious if your imagination is really this wild or if you just use your imagination, as an excuse or a tool, in order to suggest things about people that you find helpful.
When you were a kid, did you ever read Dr. Seuss, The Sneetches?
Social distancing has likely already begun to flatten the curve...Continue to research good antivirals and vaccine candidates. Make everyone wear masks. -- J.D. Vance
Ceeboo, you asked a question and Gad responded. I'm curious as to whether or how you're going to address this.
No, I wasn't going to respond but I'll make you a deal: If you can point me to the part where I said anything about a Marxist - or a secret Marxist - or place where I deeply believe a suggested problem exists - or the part where I mentioned anything about Trump - or a part where I mentioned anything about a Trump rally - I will consider replying.
I thought I made two posts at that point. One was the OP where I was expressing my shock over the Gen Z number and the other one was answering a question I was asked and in that post I offered my opinion about our education system being hijacked and my prediction concering where most people will be going to get their news/information.
Did you have anything you would like to contribute about the OP?
(Yes, Cakes, I know what the article said, I posted it. I was interested in what any of you thought about it)
When you were a kid, did you ever read Dr. Seuss, The Sneetches?
No. I was a Green Eggs and Ham guy. Are you suggesting I might need to read it?
When you were a kid, did you know your right-wing best friend (the pilot) or did you two begin developing this strong friendship once you were both grown men?
(Yes, Cakes, I know what the article said, I posted it. I was interested in what any of you thought about it)
I was thinking that rather than merely accept a claim by Fernando that this reaction of Gen Z folks is because the school system has been ‘hijacked by the Marxist left’, that you might have an opinion on the reasons given in the article, which do not include that claim.
Alternately, you could help Fernando out with that claim by explaining the connection, but that does seem like sidestepping some pretty important actual reasons already noted.

Wow, this is exactly the opposite of how I perceive the person ceeboo is speaking about. Gad is far and away one of the most rational thinkers here, in my opinion.

Your opinion is noted and expected.
Thanks for another great thread contribution, Marcus.

Sounds like you don't know what a despot is, or a moron, for that matter.
Either that, or you don't care about being taken seriously. Either way, what a dumb comment.

Okie dokie, Fox News.
what exactly do we have to be proud about?

Well, we did elect Biden after our last horrible mistake (and in case you're totally baffled about what I'm talking about, it's electing Trump. I guess I can't leave anything to implication. I'll spell it out for you from now on).
Did you have any opinions about the Gen Z number being 16%?
I question the number.
And if Gen Z's opinion of America really is that low, I can't say I blame them. America is no longer the same country I grew up admiring. The right wing of this country has literally gone damned nuts with all the disinformation they greedily consume.
