He's charged with paying off a pornstar to not disclose his infidelity to his wife. That has nothing to do with election fraud. Even if he did seek to overturn the election, making up scurrilous felony charges in a partisan venue about something unrelated is a disgrace to the justice system for which the public is right to distrust as an institution. Their bad reputation is well earned. You've wanted Trump banned from running for president because you don't like his agenda, an agenda embraced by a large portion of the country that you would like to simply tyrannically disenfranchise. Don't call that saving democracy. That's saving left wing power and authority that you would otherwise lose due to the terrible economic and global situation for the American people created by your left wing policies put into action unchecked. The relevant point that you seem incapable of accepting is that there is very damning and compelling evidence that Trump did indeed try to overturn a fair and legal election result. Had there been no compelling evidence of that, it is virtually certain that he would not be on trial for it.

And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

He paid off the porn star because he believed that knowledge of his tryst with her after the Access Hollywood tape would sink his campaign. He sought to hide the transaction to boot. So, you are once again wrong.ajax18 wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 2:58 pmHe's charged with paying off a pornstar to not disclose his infidelity to his wife. That has nothing to do with election fraud. I think Trump should be banned from running for office. Any candidate who fomented an insurrection ought to be. If seeking to destroy Constitutional government is not disqualifying, then anyone could conceivably take over and install themselves as dictator.

Right on! It was an illegal business transaction to get him elected.
Trump's supporters are scofflaws who wish to be ruled by a dictatorship. They are slavering to reenact the Confederate States of America.I think Trump should be banned from running for office. Re: Romney on Pardoning Trump
You keep ignoring the well-documented fact that the U.S. economy is statistically doing better than at any time during Trump's reign. It has been repeatedly pointed out to you that virtually all the economic factors like GDP growth, employment statistics, such as job creation and unemployment rates are better than at any time in the last 50 years, the Dow Jones is the highest it has ever been, U.S. inflation rates are currently among the lowest in the developing world, etc. In addition, the economy has demonstrably done better during Democrat administrations than during Republican ones and national deficits always grow faster when Republicans are in power than when Democrats are in power. These are well-reported and easily accessible facts to any who make any honest attempts to inform themselves. So why do conservatives still stick to often and easily debunked claims that our national economy always does worse when moderates and progressives are in power? Why do you keep repeating claims that devastatingly debunked every time you state them?
It seems that you would much rather remain a fool than honestly admit to ever having been one by correcting yourself whenever warranted and necessary.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

No he is not.
If you're going to take a stand might I suggest investing some time familiarizing yourself with the case? Paying off a porn star isn't a crime.

Trump didn't give a damn what his wife thought. He has no morals. He paid off the porn star to help his election chances.

Anyone can be wrong. It is the fool who persists in errors after they have been brought to one’s attention. It seems that you would much rather remain a fool than honestly admit to ever having been one by correcting yourself whenever warranted and necessary.
