I kind of chuckled when someone told me they were going to participate in no buy day by not buying anything from Target that day.

What happened?
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

https://www.targetfast.org/

40 day Target Fast starts today. Link above is the org for it. This is aimed at those who would like to express Spiritual Resistance to the rollback on DEI policies among other instances of social injustice. You can read about that in the article. It's all spelled out there.

There's another article online about Target already taking one hit and this is now another.

I just want to say that DEI is not about social justice. It’s not about giving a fair slice of the pie to those poor marginalized people who haven’t been getting what they deserve. On the contrary, it is about putting those people to work in hard jobs. It’s about harnessing an under-utilized resource, tapping the full human talent pool, instead of relying only on an arbitrarily selected subset of people.
I was a teenager before it was cool.

How are those folks (bold) being arbitrarily selected? What is the process without DEI, vs with DEI?

Remember, it’s important to throw veteran and disabled beneficiaries of DEI under the bus if some angry, middle-aged underperformer mistakenly thinks that the program translates into giving black or LGBTQ folks some sort of unfair advantage.
