This image is poised to assist the Republicans in their 2026 campaign. Let’s lay out the facts, shall we?

In 2024, Trump achieved a victory with greater numbers than in 2016 across several important demographics. He secured approximately 90% of all counties in America, whereas Biden achieved 81% in 2020. This serves as further proof that socialism does not hold much appeal for Americans, contrary to the beliefs of the two individuals on stage.

Socialism will not overcome the Republicans in 2028. The ongoing efforts of progressives to persuade others that it will happen highlight the extent of the party's disconnect from reality.

The truth of the matter is that many people have chosen authoritarianism over what was once our constitutional republic. We will see how long that lasts, and whether they figure out what they have gotten themselves into in time to do anything useful about it.

Higher taxes? Or no rights?

Right now, we are entering a period of both. Tariffs are in effect a regressive tax that hits the poor harder, while Trump is promising a huge tax cut for the extremely wealthy. Also, we now evidently have no constitutional rights anymore, since I, you, or really anyone can be falsely labeled a terrorist or gang member, captured by ICE agents or government contractors, thrown into a van, and shipped to CECOT in El Salvador to spend the rest of our lives incarcerated in conditions unfit for a stray dog.

Yes, the real choice we have is between the unfettered power of Trump and his oligarch cronies, while the rest of us pay for it without any rights to protect us, and Constitutional government.

So, who are you exactly that you feel so smugly secure this is not a problem for you?

Hey, Hound -

That picture doesn’t show any socialism, or any fascism, or libertarianism, or anything more than two people tapping into the discontent of a large crowd that has seen Donald Trump damage markets, insult allies, promote dictators, and flout the courts and the Constitution.

They’re probably a bit concerned about healthcare, childcare and housing costs, their crashing 401ks, and even the price of eggs.

Please try again.

This image of a progressive Senator engaging with an MS-13 gang member has likely secured victories for the Republicans in 2026 and potentially in 2028.

President Tulsi Gabbard has just emerged as a household name.

By your logic, maybe a picture of her with her cult guru could change that.

The issue isn't with Trump voters, rather, it's the independents and Democrats, including myself, who back the administration's initiatives to deport illegal aliens. A majority of 56% of Americans are in favor of deporting illegal aliens, including those without a criminal record. Support for deportation rises to 89% when it involves criminal illegal aliens being removed.

When a US Senator visits a foreign country with the aim of returning an illegal alien, it will not yield any results, and Trump is aware of this reality. I am certain he prays each night for additional Democrat senators to make the journey, allowing him to capture more images of them meeting with an MS-13 gang member.

It is, when they label people that they don’t like as ‘MS-13 gang members’, so that they can justify their own racism and poor election choices.

One thing I find interesting about your position is that you seem to ignore Trump's personality entirely. It's not clear to me that democrats, largely with faces of the humorless and woke administrative state, could sell anti-immigration the way that Trump does. Obama was the king of deportation, and no democrat has been hated by republicans more than Obama has. You seem to relish in inhumanity, even spreading misinformation about it as you did with the El Salvador case. And as you smile at what you find within the abyss, you tell Democrats to either pick up the screwdriver and administer the torture, or lose! There can be no other way to win but by placating the worst impulses of Americans. You'll be happy when you see progressives eat their lunches and hold up signs advocating what they find to be inhumane because they have learned their lesson, and they have finally been convinced by you to change their moral beliefs in order to get votes. But it's not just a matter of belief, but holding that sign up in a convincing way.
