Everyone here is duped by the left/right narrative. If anyone is willing, anyone, take a look at how economic gains have gone upward over the last 50 years at our expense. Perhaps that tells the real story???? But, at least you aren't like them other guys, at least you are supposedly smarter than them others. Them are certainly dumb .... meanwhile, the 1% is taking the milk from the cow while the two sides fight over ownership of the cow ....

I don’t know how it’s possible to escape a right-left narrative here. Any attempt at income redistribution is condemned by the right as leftist extremism. Moreso with redistribution of wealth. Hell, even moderate shoring up of the social safety net is condemned as communism!

2017: $750 paid
2018: ~$999,000 paid (in years Trump had taxable income)

2020: $0 federal income tax, and a refund of several million dollars after losses wiped out taxable income

You see, unlike you and our very own glorified welfare recipient DrCamnPP, people like me and Trump have to worry about payroll taxes like social security, Medicare taxes, also self employment taxes, Corporate income taxes, Capital Gains taxes, Excise taxes, State income taxes, State Payroll taxes, State Sales taxes, Local Property taxes, local businesses taxes, permits and license fees. Companies like what Trump owns also contribute to employer payroll contributions, sales tax collected and remitted, real estate tax transfer taxes, and his companies would pay construction related taxes and fees.

You and your little brain in your little backyard can't even imagine how difficult itbis to keep up on all the taxes a business man or woman has to keep on top of so we can fill the "piggy bank", so people like you and DrCamnPP can take from it! . Your lifestyle exists because people like me are willing to contribute taxes in 100s of ways and we accept the responsibility and liability of owning businesses so people like you can take from what we contribute.

Over a lifetime, Trump has literally payed 100s of millions in taxes if not billions! And because he has, just like i have, you and DrCamnPP have been able to live comfortably, having someone remove your taxes from you paycheck for you, never actually thinking about taxes because you have never personally had to deal with taxes beyond going to Jackson Hewitt once a year!

Again, please tell me why you may think Trump wants part of the 10 billion? Give me an actual answer, not some progressive bullsxxx talking point you learned from your progressive apostles.

Perhaps Hound cannot afford an accountant to do those annoying tax calculations. Well they are certainly an important contribution to society by people starting and building business.

It might be worth remembering that business owners are in the employment of customers willing to give them money for Goods or services. Those goods and services are made possible by employed labor. There is an interdependent circle.

But I like Hound noticing building new business is fundamental to America. It makes me think of the large growth in the role Hispanic people have come to play in the community I live in. Decades ago people from Mexico would come in the spring to work harvest and related agricultural labor. It being cheaper to live in Mexico most returned in the fall. However more and more these folks started small business in my area and stayed to live here. Some of those business thrived. Some continue solid. Large or small, these businesses support a growing Hispanic population and have contributed to the health of the community.
