The Constitution isn't immutable. It was designed in a way so that it could be changed. The Founding Fathers were likely smart enough to realize that whatever they put in place in the 18th century is likely not going to be enough for a society of hundreds of millions centuries later.

Also, it's just not a one-size-fits-all scenario. I'd reckon a guess to say that - idiots with guns - people that die through accidental discharge or have their own gun used on them - is demographic in nature.

Personally, I feel a little bit more secure knowing I have a 38 in my nightstand. It is absolutely un-findable by anyone but me and my wife. Custom built false bottom drawer, cabinet secured to the wall, drawer cannot be taken all the way out.

Also, my gun, S&W 38 special, model 10, double action, 4" barrel, 6 shot revolver. I happen to think it's the best type gun going for personal protection. Point and squeeze. Who wants to have to muck around with slides and safeties when set upon by bad outlaws.

First, you install a trigger lock, then you vacuum seal it in a bag, then dip it in wax ten times, then wrap it in Gorilla Tape, not that cheap tape, it has to be the gorilla brand, then store it in a teeny tiny safe, then a teeny safe, then a tiny safe, then a medium safe, then a large safe, then push the large safe inside an extra large safe, then push that safe inside a locked closet, then place a guard outside the closet 24/7, if you and your significant other want to have sex make sure you ask the guard to turn around and face the closet door, unless you like to get freaky, in that case let him watch, then hire a security guard to stand at your front door, then hire a security guard in a crown vic to sit outside in your driveway!! Then and only then, is your weapon considered to be safe enough to satisfy Doc Cam and K Graham.
