I just want you all to remember that Trump was elected after talking about grabbing women by the pussy. It's pretty clear to me a huge portion of America has incredibly low standards.

I doubt anything will come of this. We all knew he was a piece of crap 7 years ago.
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense.

The god idea is popular with desperate people.

Yeah! I laughed out loud when I saw that too! I wonder if he will ever be able to live down the humiliation of that!

Just finished seeing the closing remarks. It was an awesome 2 & 1/4 hours. Liz Cheney's remarks were inspiring!
I think they have got him dead to rights but he has a way of wiggling his way out of things. Like slime.

I hate to say this, but I think a much more noxious and smellier substance describes him better. I have never fully understood why he appeals to as many as he does. I have never seen anything particularly admirable or confidence-inspiring about him. To me, his phoniness and narcissism stands out like a neon sign.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

When Trump said he could shoot someone on 5th Ave and get away with it, he really knew his base.

Does anyone think that DJT can be charged with attempted murder re: Pence? Accessory to?

His hesitancy to press charges against Trump is probably mostly due to fear that hard right conservatives will accuse him doing it for purely partisan reasons and retaliate by inventing bogus charges for any and all Democrats running for office.
That's also a terrible reason not to do it. We should be able to rely on the law to actually sort out the criminals. If Trump's innocent, a criminal trial shouldn't matter; he'll be found innocent.

LOL... good luck with that.
I am finding a couple of thoughts. First I am pretty sure Garland did not say no investigation of political candidate. He accepted extra review and caution prior to such undertaking.

I think the big blockade for prosecution is difficulty in getting conviction. Trump is clearly guilty of stuff but can you get a jury to convict? Political attachments would determine or influence that despite the theory that says they should not. After all Trump has been twice indicted (impeached) with two failures to convict. Each failure to convict lends strength to the precedence of a president being above the law.

Someday Republicans will be able to end America and establish the fascism they desperately desire, but until then we can cling to the hope that Merrick Garland can find some balls.
