Even GWB was guilty of war crimes according to the left.

Biden was actually right to lie about Putin not committing war crimes when he was questioned by the press. If Biden were to admit Putin were guilty of war crimes there would be no off ramp for Putin and only worse alternatives.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

In World War II, the Allies developed a plan to attack a single facet of German arms production: ball bearings. Without ball bearings, no tanks, no planes...it would have crippled their armaments production. According to Albert Speer, the allied bombing campaign came closer to succeeding than they imagined.

Vladimir Putin has tried to organize the Russian economy so that it would be able to survive a boycott from the outside world. But there is one place where Russian technology really lags behind: Computer chip fabrication. The Russian fabrication machines produce 65 nanometer chips, which is both ancient (2005 was they heyday for 65nm chips) and huge by western standards. Current offerings from AMD are 5 nanometers.

These are not small stumbling blocks. Chip fabrication technology is massively expensive, and the plants require massive amounts of capital and engineering skills, and right now the Russians just don't have it. So at least part of the short and medium supply line issues for Russia will be the imperative to somehow get chips around the sanctions. Exactly how it will impact their military will bear watching.

This is the kind of thing that I hope snowballs until it's game over. A war of attrition. Unfortunately, it seems to me like the big P needs to feel like he has a chance and the loss must gradually overtake him, lest he resort to the unthinkable.

As long as their friendship with China holds out, chips may not be a problem? I don't know. I'm honestly just spitballing here. Even if the supply is indirect, you can probably funnel a lot of chips through India and China, both big trading partners with Russia.

The Ukrainians have been sent anti-aircraft missiles by a number of countries. It appears that they are putting them to effective use.

Yes, they can get 28-nm chips from China. However, TMSC who cut them off has 5-nm capability.
