Based on the candidacy of Trump and the reality of George Santos, would a pardon be necessary anyway?

Criminal behavior doesn’t seem to affect the support that some folks garner.
Cohen running for George Santo's seat would be an improvement, but he would have to run as a Democrat because of the Trump thing.

Chris Christie makes a short declaration of what is going to happen in the Trump case:

After Trump, who will the Republicans choose for their next crime boss?

The D.C. Circuit issued a stay on the gag order issued by the trial judge in the election interference case against Trump while it considers his appeal on the merits. Briefing should be complete in about three weeks.https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va ... ld-appeal/

Are they hoping to see Trump drive his cult followers into a violent frenzy to prevent any slow news days? Would this have any effect on Judge Engoran's orders against not maligning his staff? Will Trump try to do a tie-in between himself and Guy Fawkes, the 5th of November guy? I don't think Fawkes was a narcissistic psychopath.

No. Prior restraints on speech are generally scrutinized pretty closely.

The stay doesn't directly affect Judge Engoran's order. I think that trial will likely be over before the appeal in the other case is decided on the merits.

I find throwing darts to be the most effect tool for prediction future behavior by Trump.

I presume you mean randomly thrown darts rather than expertly aimed ones.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Predicting future Trump behavior is pretty easy. He will:

- Lie when he doesn't need to
- Brag about something everyone knows is false
- Throw someone who's been loyal to him for years under the bus
- Say something incredibly stupid while thinking he's being a genius
- Touch someone who doesn't want to be touched
- Violate all gag orders
- Commit perjury
- Say whatever he thinks the audience he's standing in front of wants to hear
- Steal something
- Claim victimhood
- Overestimate the size of his buildings, wealth, and body parts
- Contradict something he said within the last 24 hours
- Promise something will happen in 2 weeks that never does
- Insult someone more popular than he is
- Take credit for somethin a Democrat did
- Blame a Democrat for something he did
- Blame a Republican who's no longer loyal for something he did
- Call someone a RINO without knowing what "conservative" means
- Need two hands to have a drink of water
- Spend 15 minutes in the morning trying to get his hair to look human
- Deny another crime he committed
- Project his faults on someone else
- Show us again he thinks that telling the truth is stupid when he could say something to score political points, no matter how idiotic it makes him sound

He might be the most predictable malcontent we've ever known.
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense.

Trump took the witness stand today in his civil fraud trial. Scmo is the prophet of the day.
Washington Post wrote: Before a break in the proceedings, New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron suggested he might remove former president Donald Trump from the witness stand if Trump could not adhere to court rules by answering questions directly.
Shortly after that warning, Engoron raised his voice to a pair of Trump lawyers, Christopher Kise and Alina Habba, when they stood up to argue that the former president should be able to make his case without restriction. Kise said the civil business fraud trial was a “unique situation” that called for Trump to have leeway to elaborate.

“Mr. Kise, Ms. Habba, sit down!” Engoron said, his voice booming through the gallery.

Trump appeared exasperated as he waited for the legal bickering to end. Then, unprompted, Trump used the witness stand as a platform to gripe.
“This is a very unfair trial. Very, very. And I hope the public is watching,” he said.

Engoron said that if he removed Trump from the stand, he might find “negative inferences” against Trump on the subjects of the examination by Kevin Wallace, an attorney with the New York attorney general’s office.

A negative inference can be made when a person on the witness stand fails to provide their expected evidence or testimony. It allows the court to presume that the individual avoided providing evidence or testimony because it was unfavorable to one of the parties.

“I beseech you to control him if I can’t,” Engoron said to Kise. “If you can’t, I will excuse him and draw any negative inference that I can.”
After the break, Trump returned to the courtroom and, at least initially, gave more direct answers to the questions he was asked.

I recall a scene from a show where there was a dartboard hanging up, but the people who lived there stopped playing, after they broke a window. Which was 90 degrees away in direction from the dartboard. Too bad, they could have had a future in the prediction of Trump's behavior.
