A majority polled suggest they don't want a two state solution, true. But a large minority do, and what they want and what they need aren't always the same. They didn't want to have their land taken away from them and given over to their religious enemy of 1400 years either, but the powers that be felt like that was the best thing that needed to happen.Kishkumen wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 2:06 pmYou don't speak for all Palestinians, Ajax.ajax18 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2023 2:11 pmThe Palestinians have been offered a two state solution many times. They're not interested. When they tell you that they want nothing less than to exterminate every Jew from the river to the sea because the Koran dictates it, you need to believe them whether it's something you would view as moral and rational or even in their own best interests or not. They don't think like you do. They don't believe the same things you do and you're not going to change that. Nation building by the US in the Middle East has been a colossal waste of money and a failure. Just let Israel and Palestine fight it out and try to keep it from turning into a global world war.
The main reason some of them reject the two state solution is because it requires recognizing Israel's sovereignty.
