When the intent is political persecution, prosecution and a media blitz, rather than the fairness of the process, we have entered an Orwellian kangaroo zoo.
Indeed, when the intent is political persecution (claimed by MAGA-heads), prosecution (“The election was stolen!!”) and a media blitz (Fox News, Newsmax, OANN), rather than the fairness of the process (the actual 2020 election), we have entered an Orwellian kangaroo zoo.
Funny how the folks who forced us into that zoo are complaining the loudest about having built it.
You have conflated the issues and redefined terms. And you are omitting my responses.
The court that I referenced was the sham trial that was performed on national TV and in prime time. Are you making a point that there are more kangaroo courts? An example of a kangaroo court is a sham trial that prohibits cross examination and rebuttal witnesses. Similar to a conversation that allows one side to present their imaginations as fact and omits rebuttals. Like what you just did.
Don't take my word for it. Feel free to lie to me and about me and make claims that you know what I think and all the normal things we do here.
I am merely reporting the conditions that are happening right now. The January 6th Committees and the show trials were theater, at best. They were kangaroo courts. They were spectacles. They continue to be a sham and a show. Anyone who thinks this is putting Trump or anyone else in a serious bind, has lost their goddamn minds. These committees can't do a damn thing about a damn thing.
Garland, on the other hand, is the one that has to take all this un-credible and incredible process and then attempt to do something credible with it. He will not pacify the folks that were convinced by the kangaroo court. It, will, not, happen. And further, he will not pacify the subjects of the kangaroo court. DoJ loses!
“There is a lot of speculation about what the Justice Department is doing, what’s it not doing, what our theories are and what our theories aren’t, and there will continue to be that speculation,” Mr. Garland said at a briefing with reporters on Wednesday as he appeared to grow slightly irritated. “That’s because a central tenet of the way in which the Justice Department investigates and a central tenet of the rule of law is that we do not do our investigations in public.”
Wow, you're far more ignorant than I originally thought. Nothing from Garland's remarks supports your assertions. You don't seem to understand that we already know this isn't a criminal trial. You don't seem to understand that we know only the DOJ can bring criminal charges. But the hearings have unveiled a ton of damning evidence that Garland is likely paying very close attention to. It has people from Trump's own inner circle turning on him in droves. Hell, the evidence is so damning that even the Rupert Murdoch outlets are now condemning Trump, insisting he should never hold office ever again. Why? Because unlike some idiots, they're paying attention to the hearing. Congress has subpoena power which leads to transparency, which should always be considered a good thing. But it pisses people like you off because ... "GoT nO cXoSs ExAmiNasHuN."
Well no crap. But whining about partisanship ignores the fact that virtually everyone testifying against Trump are those who worked for him. The hilarity is that McCarthy initially called for the hearing and then withdrew all Republican members simply because Trump told him to. Trump wanted to be able to later fool the naïve out there like you into believing it is a one sided kangaroo court because no one there is defending him. Gee, I wonder why? Trump had every opportunity to tell his side but he refused and his idiot loyalists like Bannon refused to comply with subpoenas. Must mean he's innocent right?
Liz Cheney recently went on FOX and demolished this line of reasoning explaining how things actually played out and McCarthy negotiated terms with the House before backing out after Trump told him to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdHdYT32g_o

The intent is to hold a treasonous autocrat accountable for his criminal action and his inaction which violated his oath of office. The intent is to make sure Americans know what actually happened, why it happened, and why it is important we take measures to prevent it from happening again. A failed coup that goes unpunished is nothing more than a training exercise. Maybe you think being accountable to the law is something reserved only for black people resisting arrest, and not white billionaire trust fund babies who have used their wealth to skirt legal accountability all their lives.

Okay. I agree that it went down the way you describe it having gone down. You described a kangaroo court that you like. That does not change the fact that it was still a kangaroo court.

Oh boy. Okay, Kevin. Okay.
Sounds like the kangaroo court worked. You seem motivated and convinced. Great. That is great. I am so happy that you are content and empowered to do something. It wasn't a real trial, but for you, there is conviction. GREAT!!!!! Kangaroo courts work! And my give a damn meter is at zero.

As is mine.
No problem, buddy. No problem.
A janky ass stupid protest with props is not a kangaroo court. A kangaroo court is a kangaroo court. This idea of just redefining things to make them what you want is trendy and cute.

As you are doing with ‘kangaroo court’.
Let me know when the effects of the ‘kangaroo court’ that you are so angry about eclipses the effects and damage of the alternative example that I provided.
