It's actually not my favorite Costner baseball film -- that would be Bull Durham -- but Field of Dreams is definitely worth a watch, even if Ray Liotta bats righty instead of lefty (all is forgiven, Mr. Liotta). The novel on which it is based (W.P. Kinsella's "Shoeless Joe") is even better. My favorite character from the novel (Eddie "Kid" Scissons, a.k.a. "the world's oldest living Chicago Cub") isn't even in the film. In the novel, Scissons preaches a sermon about baseball that ... well, I'm pretty sure you aren't allowed into heaven if you haven't read it.

It's regrettable for sure that she said that; however, I think there is a distinction to be made between repeating a falsehood (and quickly retracting/apologizing) and perpetrating a hoax.
But she didn't "repeat a falsehood" - That's why I provided the link I did about her claim that she repeated it from Axios/Reuters - No worries though, not a big deal.
