The LA Times is planning a hit piece on Palin using the Bible!

The L.A. Times sucks. This comes as no surprise.

The L.A. Times is not the highest ranking in credibility. Still, after a quick gander at the article in question (http://www.latimes.com/news/local/polit ... 0660.story) it appears as though the writer is focusing on what Evangelicals themselves are saying about Palin. It also includes information on how some Evangelicals are reconciling how Palin's position can be seen in positive terms in light of the Bible. Come on, Kevin.

Also, "the media" doesn't exist.

Here is a large portion of the article, which was not quoted, that suggests the article is addressing divisions within the Evangelical community on this issue.

Precisely.

"Come on" is right.

"They are also searching the countryside to dig up the very few strongly religious Christians they can find who think Palin is wrong to run for public office."

When did the Times do an article on religious folk who resent Obama's positions?

This thing is designed to work against Palin pure and simple. Do you really think the LAT really gives a flying toot about what a very few Evangelicals think about Palin? They are just trying to give the majority of Evagelicals who support her, cause for pause.

"Gee, maybe she really isn't going by the Bible after all"

Its giving a microphone to an irrelevant tiny minority.

Why?

Isn't that pretty much taken as a given? Where's the news in that?

How about an article on EVs who love Obama? Now that would be interesting.

Odds are they had some articles about the Reverend Wright thing.

Look, the LA Times, again, is not the most credible paper in the country by any stretch of the imagination.

Good point.

And, just because a paper does not have the most gravitas does not mean that everything printed therein is without merit.

Personally I think the article in question was not a black-and-white hit piece.

Although it seems that "News Busters" would like its readers to believe so. Who will bust the busters?
