Aye. Well I'm sure all the people who pushed the Kavanaugh accusations will do the same this time. Right? RIGHT? I mean it's funny how everybody seemed to stop caring the moment he was sworn in. Maryland PD is still waiting for someone to file a report. Nobody cares that a rapist is on the supreme court? Huh. Odd. I guess we'll see if they care about a rapist special counsel, the man who stands between Russia and our constitution.

The whole thing is pathetic. I'm just gonna find a beach to chill on. Let it burn. Scatter the ashes. Salt the earth where it stood.

Well, I’ll go on the record saying that I do believe Jennifer Taub. She’s the only woman who has spoken so far. Given Burkman’s track record, it’s no surprise that the “accuser” was a no show today.

Here’s a piece done after Burkman’s last no show press conference:

Nervous Googling found:

Alleged scheme to smear Mueller unravels

Phew! I should have read the thread again from the start! I confess to having thought "Oh no - is this Jennifer Taub a woman who has accused Mueller of sexual misconduct?". But, no, it seems ... in fact, quite the reverse.

Jennifer Taub has never met Robert Mueller, the special counsel tasked with investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Yet, on Oct. 22, the Vermont Law School professor said she received an email floating an offer to discuss "past encounters" with Mueller, with the promise of money.

She immediately forwarded the email to the special prosecutor's office, which then referred it to the FBI, she told MSNBC's Ari Melber Tuesday.

The special counsel's office announced Tuesday that the FBI is investigating allegations that a woman was offered money to falsely accuse Mueller of sexual harassment, spokesman Peter Carr told BuzzFeed and other media outlets.

The email to Taub read, in part,

"My organization is conducting an examination of Robert Mueller’s past. Tell me a decent method to contact you by telephone (or Signal, which would be ideal) and a beginning rate to talk with you about all encounters you’ve had with Special Counsel Mueller. We would likewise pay you for any references that you may have. Lastly, I would appreciate your discretion here, as this is a very sensitive matter.”

"I found it really creepy, to be honest with you," Taub told Melber. "This was odd enough that I assumed I was not the only one being contacted."

Taub said she had no idea why it was sent to her, except that she recently penned an op-ed about the confirmation hearings of Brett Kavanaugh. "But certainly, I’m the last person you’d want to send something to," she said to Melber.

The email was similar to one dated Oct. 17 and shared by another woman with reporters, including The Atlantic's Natasha Bertrand, who first wrote about the FBI investigation. Reporters have been unable to verify the identity of that woman, who said her name was Lorraine.
