It's exactly what Whoopi was saying and she didn't make it up herself. she heard this from critical race theorists that speak in leftist circles. Did you listen to her quote? She emphatically insisted that the Holocaust was not about race. And yet, she sees racism in all things in her every day life in America. Yes K Graham, in the mind of Whoopi both you and Biden are racists but Hitler was not.

I get why some black Americans view race as nothing more than color. I see why they view Jewish people as part of the "white oppression." I mean, prior to the holocaust Jews did own black slaves during the Confederacy.

An advertisement in North Carolina’s Wilmington Journal in 1847 reveals a stain on local Jewish history. Ansley Davis, who came from Petersburg, Virginia, published the ad under the heading “Negroes Wanted.” The text stated: “I wish to purchase a large number of Negroes of both sexes, from the age of 14 to 30, for which I will pay the highest cash market price.” Davis, whose family owned one of the largest Jewish-run slave-trading companies in the entire South, would tour the region every summer seeking new slaves, which he later sold.

Davis was not the only Southern Jew who made a living in the slave trade prior to the Civil War. David Wise of New Orleans also put up slaves for sale at the time, working out of a depot on the city’s Baronne Street. “Has always on hand a large number of slaves, which will be sold for cash,” according to an ad that he placed in a paper. “A fine lot of young, likely, able-bodied negroes – girls and men – excellent field hands.” By the time the war broke out, New Orleans was the largest slave-trading city in the South.

The stories of Wise and Davis are presented on the website of the Museum of the Southern Jewish Experience, which opened in May in New Orleans. MSJE, as it is called, showcases the culture and heritage of the Jews who lived in the 13 southern states over a period spanning some three centuries: from colonial America through the Civil War, the Civil Rights movement and up to this day. Some 4,000 exhibits have been collected from Jewish communities and families in small towns, before they disappeared from the map.

The museum notes in one of its monthly newsletters, published online and as part of its website for two years already, that Jews in America today are distraught knowing that their brethren were among the slave owners and traders of the past – and it adds that it is not trying to prettify this history.

Southern Jews owned slaves in comparable numbers to their white non-Jewish neighbors; a few, like Wise, were active slave traders. Such facts have been used – and widely exaggerated – by antisemites, but are among the uncomfortable truths of Southern Jewish history.

Whoopi is an ignorant moron who understand critical race theory no more than you do. It doesn't matter what she thinks, she's still wrong, and the difference between the Left and Right is that the Right is unapologetic and blame "cancel culture" every time they say racist crap. I saw the interview and didn't see where she said anything like, "according to critical race theorists..." I just see people like you trying to connect your boogeyman to something tangible.

You know when I first read Whoopi's comments I admit I first thought. That doesn't sound that bad. Maybe she's finally trying to move past race. But that's the problem. Whoopi Goldberg has never been about moving past race.

Out of curiosity I looked up Woopi's education background, terrified of the possibility that she actually got a college education. I was relieved to find out she dropped out of high school. So she never received a formal education on what the holocaust entailed.

It is hard to imagine how anyone her age today could not know about the racism that drove Hitler, and his successors Stormfront.

And in her apology, she said she didn't mean to be offensive she just doesn't think that what happened during the Holocaust could be racist if the people being subject to inhumane treatment were not a different color.

I still think that this is a symptom of the BS we have been dealing with for years. It has been a victimization contest for too damn long, and Whoopi took it too damn far. Now we are here. Aggression, microaggression, nanoaggression, no aggression. Jesus Christ we are all so hurt and so victimized. I think Whoopi just victimized me. I need some cake or something.

I say let Whoopi work. She can say whatever the hell she wants. Who the “F” cares? Put her back on the air tomorrow and tell everyone to identify as something other than a victim. She said something stupid AF, and it didn't change one damn thing for me. Isn't that what the Jews finally did when the Mormons kept baptizing the Holocaust victims?
