Oh. I see. Your question was stupid and loaded. And now you are attempting to extrapolate some nonsense from your nonsense. But you got more dollars than sense. Hey, the good thing here is that thread is also homophonic, so be sure and include that too.
Not at all. My point is that the idea of "the people" as a collective in the sense that you have used it here: <snip>

‘The People’ seem to want the trucker protest to go away.

is not a very meaningful or clear concept - since it presumably includes both the small number of persons blocking roads, and the large number of Canadians opposed to their doing so.
There is also a large number of people that support their doing so.
Just to make sure communication is clear: "the people" means "a relatively small group of the the people" and "black folks" means "each and ever black person." How am I doing?

You may not believe me, as we have mutually acknowledged or agreed, but I find this part of the conversation, snark and all, to be valuable. I do not excuse my own use of groups and exceptions and people and people within groups nor do I claim to apply it all perfectly.

What is it conservatives say when black people get shot by police? Something like “if they’d just what the police told them to do, they’d be fine.” This illegal occupation of downtown streets has been going on for three weeks. The protesters were told starting a week ago to leave or face arrest. These folks had plenty of warning, including today before the police began clearing the streets. Do you see anybody in this picture complying with the police?

How long were protesters blocking the streets bordering Lafayette Park before Trump sent the riot squad in so he could cross the street and hold a Bible upside down? Was it three weeks? If a black protester tried to take a US cop’s weapon away from him, what do you think the odds are that he’d be alive after that?

You wanna point fingers? Point the fingers at the organizers who told people to stand firm and resist the cops, instead of telling this nice person who needed mobility assistance that it wasn’t safe to stay. They suckered lots of nice folks into a staying in a situation they knew would not be safe.

Was this nice person injured? How badly? Thank heavens the nice person has free health care.

ETA: Having now scene a full video, this photo is pretty misleading. The police has opened up a path for the horses. Several people tried to block the lane. One protester tried to pull something off the black horse, just before it tried to jump over the people lying on the ground. The black horse isn’t trampling - it’s trying to not trample.

The guy in the yellow and black shirt just below the woman in the red coat is the guy who grabbed at the black horse. You can see how the horse is of course as it tries to avoid the people on the ground. At the top of the photo, you can see two more protesters trying to block the horses.

Could you post a link to the full video?

Colour me really rather unsurprised. Police horses are not cavalry horses, and like the people riding them they are trained to avoid causing accidental injury to the public so far as they possibly can.

If you read that article and considered it serious or valid in any way, you truly may be one of the stupidest people on earth. I doubt the authors considered it to be anything but propaganda and BS.

Should we try and break down the stupid here?

Police horses are not cavalry horses. Let's start with that. What in the actual damned “F” could that possibly mean? Do you mean that because the Canadians Police are called the Cavalry that these horses are actually trained to charge into battle?

Like the people riding them? So, you think these horses were trained like the people? Perhaps they read the same books and took the same online courses and crap?

Trained to avoid causing accidental injury to the public, so far as they possibly can? These horses are weighing decisions and outcomes, including possible outcomes?

Chap, you are so damn dumb. I know you have never owned a Warmblood. I can tell from your comment, that you almost certainly have never ridden one. These horses could be Draft/Warmblood crosses. The Canadian Mounted Police switched from all Thoroughbreds to Warmbloods specifically because of their size and presence in crowds, you moron. I know for a goddamn fact that Heavenly Father wants you to sit this one out.
