Firstly, ldsfaqs got remanded to Prison and put on the queue for the same identical conduct here. He returned to this new board and when he did, he was able to post in Paradise. His return may have actually been on the broken board.

The point I want to make is that ldsfaqs' conduct was no different in nature than AM's has been here.

Of course I don't know what AM said to which you are responding but that's the story of faqs. He may have simply lost interest since If I recall correctly he came in to post but didn't seem to participate in his own threads. Maybe he has been stricken with illness. I hope not! I would like to think that he has found other interests or possibly has returned to the work force.

So far as I know, ldsfaqs has no beef with this community. We supported him in ways that I think he never expected. I noted that he was queued and put in Prison, returned to post unfettered, but hasn't stayed here with us.

I sure hope that he is okay! He's been a fixture on the boards with me for over two decades.

Mike, it cracks me up when you start naming names of people that you claim were ‘run off’ for ‘being conservative’, because it shows that you never cared to read past threads. Rather, you reflexively defend people that you simply characterize as ‘conservative’, without having any idea of what they posted.

leeuniverse/ldsfaqs created a large number of arguably (or overtly, even) rants with racist accusations about blacks.

subgenius frequently posted about LGBTQ folks being ‘mentally damaged’ and ‘inferior’ people who certainly do not deserve to marry or otherwise enjoy other common rights that heterosexual couples did. He also used to carry on about how there’s no evidence that Jews were gassed by Germans in WWII. ‘No ovens’ was his claim.

By all means, carry on with your ignorant and misguided defense of these opinions from these folks, if that’s the best that you can do on this board for lack of any ability to carry an argument of your own. But unless you want to tell me that what these two folks represented were ‘conservative values’, then you’re making a fool of yourself every time that you do this, and everyone else sees it, but they simply don’t care to tell you. Why should they, when you’re defending those opinions?

I’ve read their crap canpakes!! Unlike progressives, I don’t condemn someone because they might hold an unpopular view or even a racist or homophobic view. Again!! It goes back to what I’ve been saying. Progressives expect everyone to think exactly like they do or the person is flawed. You guys have many labels! Racist! Sexist! Misogynist! Homophobe! Transphobe! Nazi! White supremacist! And many more. You slap a label on someone so everyone knows what to think of the person or how to treat them. It’s no different then Mormonism you dumbass!! This is just further proof that you haven’t read older threads. In fact, I’m not even sure that you read your own. : D

If you had, you’d have run across at least a couple of threads where folks in here banded together to help ldsfaqs out with health issues. Because it didn’t matter that he created some arguably terribly racist threads; he was also a member of this community; a person that others got to know as one, as opposed to merely a label. Labeling people is which is what you do, as anyone you believe that thinks differently than yourself is labeled by you as a ‘PROGRESSIVE!’ and claimed by you as trying to destroy the country. Day in, and day out. And you do it to folks that you are too lazy to even get to know, unlike your BS song and dance above tries to claim.

And, if you had read through those threads that you were too lazy to seek out, you would have found that Jersey Girl and Doc Cam, as two notable examples, were first and foremost in offering their help and their time to ldsfaqs. To someone that they had never even met, and regardless of faq’s opinions on this board.

You are every negative thing that you claim everyone else to be, while offering nothing of yourself to the community that you want to crap on.

If Shades isn't going to administer this board then maybe he can put Gad in as second in command if he is willing. Gad actually keeps one ear to the ground around here and I've seen his methods of moderation in action. Let Gad call the shots for a while and see if there is any improvement. But again, only if he is willing because Shades sure isn't.

We've got a good mod team but they don't have the authority to do certain things. Maybe give them and this board what they/it needs to keep the place from breaking apart in pieces.
