Oh Melania. What have you done, dear? BeBest. BreakRanks.
Former first lady Melania Trump said in a new video posted Thursday that she believes there is “no room for compromise” when it comes to a woman’s “individual freedom,” after The Guardian reported excerpts from her forthcoming book in which she says she supports abortion rights “free from any intervention or pressure from the government.”
“Individual freedom is a fundamental principle that I safeguard. Without a doubt, there is no room for compromise when it comes to this essential right that all women possess from birth, individual freedom. What does my body, my choice really mean?” the former first lady said in a video posted on X.
Anyone that loves Donald Trump, loves JD Vance. JD Vance is exactly what Trump's base wants and needs. JD Vance vindicated Trump picking him for VP when the liberal media were speculating that Trump might replace JD Vance. JD Vance defended president Trump better than Trump can defend himself.
Right now, Trump needs Vance more than Vance needs Trump.
Are you saying Harris would have done anything different than Biden had she been president?
I think she would have tried to do things differently. Absolutely. She would have failed miserably due to obstructionism (we can't even secure our border because fealty to Trump is more important than our national security to MAGA). Biden is largely a status-quo neoliberal. Anywhere else in the world, where the spectrum isn't skewed by how radical and extremist one of our major parties is, he'd be seen as largely centrist. He could have comfortably run as a Republican in the 70's. Under Biden, we have produced more oil than not only in our entire history, but more oil than any other country. There have also been more federal permits granted. Just to give one example. US oil production and drilling under Biden makes Trump look like a tree-hugger EV soy-boy.
Harris seems to be much more progressive on a lot of issues, both economically, and socially. She also seems to be willing to try new concepts and think somewhat out of the box. That isn't necessarily always a good thing (her time as DA has a few examples of where her out of the box thinking was pretty horrific, in my opinion), but I don't think it's something Biden particularly excels at.
So in your opinion Harris will get better results than Biden did because she's further left? Or are you saying Biden got great results economically.

And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

I'm doubtful she'll get any meaningful results. Maybe she'll get a token legislative nugget passed, like the first-time homebuyer credit, but it won't do much for the housing crisis because a lot of the driving factors behind that are local in nature and I don't know that a heavy-handed federal approach is the best answer. Regarding your second question/statement, Biden's economic results were pretty phenomenal given the inflationary bomb that Trump set up to explode with his policies, and the multiple American industries that were decimated under Trump. I don't think he did "great" though. Incredibly well, and certainly a lot better than the majority of major industrialized nations though, by what measurable metrics we have. On a scale of 1-10, I'd personally rate (with my amateurish knowledge and no expertise) at about a 7. Ultimately, I think Biden has too much loyalty to corporations. Beyond his occasional anti-trust actions to try to mitigate greed-flation in some very small and specific industries, it's largely just been a free market hands-off approach to the corporate overlords.
That said, even Trump's own school and professors (that he lied about at the debate) have released an analysis showing Harris' policies will be better overall for America's long-term economic security than Trump's policies. Nobel laureates from across the political and economic spectrum have all come out warning that Trump's policies will do the same thing they successfully predicted they would do before, and cripple America with ballooning deficits and set up another inflationary bomb.

Trump brags he wants to impose a 20% tariff across the board on foreign imports. All that cost will be passed on to the American consumer. If people think inflation was bad under Biden, they will lose their minds with a completely avoidable 20% price hike on everything.
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense.

We already saw what his unilateral tax on Americans without congressional representation did before. Required massive socialist bailouts of various industries, increased housing costs, and accomplished nothing tangible in regards to favorable international trade outcomes.
Remember though, socialism and taxes are bad. Except for when Trump does it. Then, it's freedom eagle gun truck awesome sauce.

That’s what the government tried to do contributing greatly to the Great Depression. - Doc

So basically in your opinion any inflation or negative economic effects we have seen over the past four years are due to the Trump policies from 2016-2020. Biden's only failure was they he wasn't far enough left. Would you also say that states with Democrat governors that locked down longer and more restrictively on nonessential businesses during the COVID pandemic handled the pandemic better and are therefore better off now economically than states like Florida where people went back to work sooner and thus made themselves worse off economically due to increased hospital costs and long term disability in young people due to COVID infection etc? Is this what Harris means when she says Trump and Republicans mishandled the pandemic?
