And while I nor anyone on the right should let this intimidate us into silence, at least the left's motive behind assasinating Charlie Kirk, while despicable, is comprehensible. I'm glad you're concerned about trans people, violence, and minds being sickened and twisted due to ideological poison. Especially since murders of trans people nearly doubled during Trump's first term as President. I'm also glad you've brought up the plight of stabbings, given the recent stabbing death of a transgender teenager by two other teens who were influenced by their parents' anti-trans rightwing rhetoric.

It's unfortunate that it took a tragic event, like Charlie Kirk's murder, to open your eyes to the violent and poisonous messages being spread which is causing trans people to be murdered at increasingly alarming rates, but I guess tragedy has a way of opening our eyes sometimes.

It's clear that the only proper response to a political opponent's death is a period of solemn, hand-wringing, introspective grief, preferably while wearing all black sackcloth and ash while humming a somber tune. Anything less and you're part of the forefront of the progressive cult movement. The fact that people might feel relief or even joy over the death of someone they believe caused significant harm and violence to large groups of people is just, well, unconscionable. It's not like the internet is filled with examples of people from all political stripes cheering when a despised figure passes away. Oh wait, it is.

So, let's not get carried away. The idea that these people represent the progressive mindset is a bit of a stretch. It's more likely that they represent a segment of humanity—the one that feels things strongly and sometimes expresses those feelings in a way that others find distasteful. It’s not a cult, it's just people. But, hey, it's more fun to pretend that an entire group of people is a heartless monolith. It makes for much more dramatic message board discussions.
