Hey Mike, I can admit my interest in guns is limited being a liberal and all but I have eaten birds I have shot. I have long heard concerns about lead harming birds which eat the stuff. It is a poison. I have not heard of brass harming birds. It is obnoxious as litter if left on the ground. I remember hiking along a ridge line and find a large mess of brass in one general spot. I do not know if it was an assault style weapon and the deer running past was too fast or somebody was just shooting the sky, perhaps aiming at an Im a big shot orgasm. I hope they were not shooting across the canyon. I did not like the appearance of the litter so picked it all up.Atlanticmike wrote: ↑Sun Feb 06, 2022 10:55 pmI’m not answering until you pick all the brass up and stop killing birds.

I checked google to find information on birds dying from brass casings. I found only information about lead poisoning.

Plastic shotgun shell wads are even worse. I’ve cut open fish and found 12 gauge wads in them. I build osprey nest for people here on the coast and when I tear down the old nest I find the craziest objects, a lot of trash. And yes, birds will eat brass just like any other trash. One of our ranges here picks up the brass everyday because years ago, probably in the late nineties, had a bird of prey die because of eating brass and peta stood on the road for a week picketing the range.huckelberry wrote: ↑Sun Feb 06, 2022 11:42 pmHey Mike, I can admit my interest in guns is limited being a liberal and all but I have eaten birds I have shot. My house is 1100 sq.ft. and I don't own any guns (it's illegal for me to).
I have the smallest peen in this thread.
