Saw Spiderman 3 about a week ago....here are my impressions:

1) one villian too many (and the three they chose don't equal one Doc Oc).
2) Kristen Dunst sucks, and spent the whole movie doing a wet blanket Adrian from the Rocky series impression....stop bitching if you can't sing sweety....you're not that good of an actress.
3) At least they didn't try to tack an extra 20 minutes worth of wedding to the end....now they have stupid romantic plot for the next movie....jeez can't they put MJ in a coma for half the movie so we're left with Spidey action? IS that too much to ask?
4) The special effects were still worth the price of admission....at what point due they tell the actors "just stay home...we'll let the computer guys take care of it".

Next up:
Shrek and Pirates!!!!

Yea but it was still a FUN movie.

Pirates was terrific!!! One of my favorite fun groups of movies ever.

Spoiler* Alert* Spoiler * Alert* (Is there anyone who hasn't seen this yet...if not don't read or you'll be spoiled)***

The Bond Pirates Review

1) Has almost 3 hours ever gone by so fast!

2) Trying to keep up with all the alliances and who wants what is worth at least 3 watchings (meaning: It's DVD buyabull for sure)

3) Great finale....Bloody Great

4) Johnny Depp once again rocking as Capt Jack.....along with Daddy by Keith Richards (yeah!)

5) Do ya think Keira Knightley would marry me? (Please say yes!)

6) 2/3 of the audience stayed for the extra scene at the end (Which was cool.)

7) Bloody great movie all around.....great action. quite a few good comedy moments, good new exotic characters, and some resolution for old friends (like Elizabeth's ex fiance' captain Norrington and her father)

8) Do I smell sequel? (Answer to be determined)

Bond, I TOLD YOU it was GREAT!!!!

If folks haven't seen Pirates 1 & 2, you really need to do that before seeing Pirates 3 so you can understand the references to both 1 & 2 that are in 3. For example, if you saw both 1 & 2...who could have predicted the end to 2? No way did I see that coming!

In the beginning, I was afraid that Pirates 3 seemed disjointed and weird. Once it got rolling, it rolled and didn't quit!

The special effects were OUTSTANDING!!! The whole maelstrom thing was unfreakin'believable! The sword fights were incredible!!! Man candy unleashed!!! Keith Richards unplugged!!!! Totally worth it me just to see him on film in a pirate suit and put that black eyeliner to good use!!!!

I'm trying not to give away content here for those who haven't seen it.

Arrrrrrr!

Next up (one of the below):

I took the wife to see 1408 this past weekend, I give it a 3/5 stars.

Strange moment in the film....

The room is messing with him and presents to him a vision of his dead Father. The Father is in a hospital and seems to be lost, possibly suffering from Alzheimers. (It was pretold in the film that he always hated his Father, and the room is presenting this in an effort to cause depression and suicide.)

Anyway, the Father looks at John Cusack and says "As you now are I once was. As I now am you will be"

Pretty odd hearing that old Mormon saying shoehorned into the movie. changed yes, but obvious and strange.
