Is that all you have? Your implication is that I should some how be more PC with the word crap hole that I chose to describe these neighborhoods that are falling apart. No Jersey Girl, they are crap holes, I can't pretend they are not. You said I should have a kinder heart for these people...you have no idea again what we do to help these folks, in these crap holes.
It easy to to talk liberal and live conservative, but it harder to talk conservative and live liberal...you will have to figure out what that means.

That's why analyses by anti-immigrant think tanks tend to present this variable in isolation rather than looking at lifecycle costs as you see in academic research. Illegal immigration is a different beast because they have a more difficult time accessing some expensive government services they pay into with various taxes.
I don't know why this is so counter-intuitive for people, but it is. We're a nation of immigrants. I don't know how they imagine we got wealthy.

Legal immigrants use federal public benefit programs at lower rates than U.S.-born citizens.
You may want to contact the National Immigration Forum and set them straight with your assertion.

My assertion was about poor legal immigrants. Hence the word "poor." It is in response to the idea of "importing poverty." Further, my assertion wasn't about the relative usage rates of public benefits between immigrants and non-immigrants, but tax contributions vs. service use. So your attempt to gotcha me is poorly thought out on two levels. Impressive. Though if you look at legal immigrants in general, they are net contributors, yes. That's why it is necessary to "cheat" the discussion by isolating just impoverished immigrants. People coming to America in poverty, of course, are those most likely to use government services at a greater level than their contributions off-set once they are able to access resources. And even then, their existence eventually ends up being a net plus to the system.
If you want to read other information your own link a little further, it goes into some detail about legal immigrants being disproportionately educated and well-off, which is why you have to be careful to make this distinction in the first place. It also discusses in some detail how the service use to contribution ratios go up significantly from 1st to 2nd gen as I assert. This is a phenomenon that crosses all categories of immigrant populations. Children of immigrants are one of the most productive, well-adjusted demographic slices in American society.

If you want to be smart about your anti-immigrant fervor, here's an argument:
Everything that causes there to exist more prosperous Americans is something that is causing severe ecological damage to the globe. When you talk about immigrants coming to America and growing the economy, what you are talking about is the expansion of the American consumer economy. American consumption is completely out of control, though. Americans consume the planet's resources on a per capita basis at incredibly high rates relative to most other nations. In fact, the planet could not sustain the global population consuming resources all at American rates and every new American accelerates global environmental damage. By converting people from low-consumption societies into American style consumers, you are accelerating environmental damage. For example, 1 American consumes as much energy as something like 400 Ethiopians. If you pluck a person out of Ethiopia at random and put them in America, you've made a significantly larger impact on energy consumption.
The problem isn't that immigrants make America poorer. Immigrants make America richer. But American prosperity is an on-going environmental catastrophe. Therefore, immigration is bad.

I stand with the President's view that we need an immigration system based on merit and what is best for the US, rather than immigration system based on the needs of people from other countries and what is best for them at the expense of American citizens. This demonstrates the fact that DJT is far from the racist white nationalist he is portrayed to be by the left. He wants immigration when it's in the best interest of the USA and its citizens. People who think that's racist or xenophobic and want to stop this at any costs are little more than traitors who we really shouldn't have to share a country with.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.
