ETA: Having now scene a full video, this photo is pretty misleading. The police has opened up a path for the horses. Several people tried to block the lane. One protester tried to pull something off the black horse, just before it tried to jump over the people lying on the ground. The black horse isn’t trampling - it’s trying to not trample.
The guy in the yellow and black shirt just below the woman in the red coat is the guy who grabbed at the black horse. You can see how the horse is of course as it tries to avoid the people on the ground. At the top of the photo, you can see two more protesters trying to block the horses.
But this - One protester tried to pull something off the black horse, just before it tried to jump over the people lying on the ground, is not as nonsensical, to me, as this: The black horse isn’t trampling - it’s trying to not trample.
This is not a circus. Horses do not jump over people. Horses do not try not to trample, they go in the direction the rider tells them to go.
Canada is in big trouble if Trudeau's explanation is that the horses were trying to not trample. I would put that right up there with the shots that were fired at Rittenhouse first, which were meant to disarm him and warn him that he was not in trouble.
This was Canada's Kristallnacht.
I would rather be on the side of that woman who was standing next to her mobility scooter when a Warmblood trampled her, than on the side of the ding dongs making excuses for trampling Canadians.
