A moment of silence, if you please, for the desert Kraken. It was dismissed, with prejudice.
If only they hadn't smoked kraken.
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense.

The god idea is popular with desperate people.

Congrats to Joe Biden on winning, once again, again. “We’re going to win so much, you’re going to be so sick and tired of winning!” Anyway, Damn all those Liberal judges that McConnell spent the last 3 years packing the federal courts with under Trump! McConnell is a RINO! He's the Deep State!

More States have signed onto the Amicus brief of the State of Texas suit than were ever part of the Confederacy, including Utah's AG Sean Reyes.

The Republican contingent of the US has been Trumperized. Things will never get back to normal.

We have a sitting President who is a literal John who had to pay off a prostitute (and her lawyers), and the people that were clutching pearls over Obama’s tan suit called Ms. Daniels a nothingburger. Things went sideways a long time ago. Before Clinton, really. This is just the natural result of a coordinated effort to destroy our system from the inside. The irony of the GOP being the 5th column cannot be overstated.

It’s a tough day to be a Kraken. The Cheese Kraken has been dismissed as well. Hugo Chavez had no comment.

ETA: I didn’t realize tough. The crack Kraken legal team was caught fabricating a quote and the judge called them out in the order of dismissal. It’s a pretty brutal order.

That’s in addition to:

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/12/0 ... uit-442472

- a congressional candidate Powell claimed to represent in one lawsuit said that, in fact, he had nothing to do with Powell or her quixotic effort

- an expert witness cited in another suit named a nonexistent county in Michigan

- a Wisconsin lawsuit sought data on alleged irregularities at a voting center in Detroit, which is in Michigan

- misspellings up the wazoo

- filing blank documents

I’m pretty certain there is more, but I only have so much gas in the tank for today.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is desperate to keep Trump in power because he's a fellow conman who desperately needs Trump's protection. Besides these new charges from his closest colleagues he was indicted and booked into jail on felony charges related to securities fraud, with a trial still pending. And is now he's fighting bribery charges for illegal favors made to wealthy donors. He's making an outlandish move to get Trump's affection because a presidential pardon would really come in handy with the wolves closing in on him.
Now it makes sense why Utah AG Sean Reyes is joining in.

That may very well be the main or even the sole reason Paxton initiated this suit. He wants to curry favor with Trump to get a pardon, while Trump still has the power to grant him that. I very seriously doubt he has any serious illusions of actually being able to win it. It is almost certainly going to be dismissed by a margin of 9 to 0, if the Supreme Court agrees to hear it at all, which I think is doubtful.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.
