Yeah, I would love it if something else were actually grabbing our attention more. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court and Project 2025 have rightly concerned us with the threat of losing our democratic republic. I know you and others are not convinced, but, if I were to find plans to rob a bank today in the hands of a criminal, I wouldn't go out to write parking tickets.

The sarcastic quip is hardly indicative of a derangement syndrome. I suppose if there is a such thing as TDS, then it would apply to people who regularly spout off about Trump in a unhinged and scapegoating manner, and with little to be gained from it. If there is a such thing as TDS, then there is also a such thing as WDE, woke derangement epidemic.

The problem Democrat's have is that they brand themselves as the adults in the room just as Republicans brand themselves as class clowns and bullies. The Democrat's role doesn't allow for the same kind of misbehaving Republicans are allowed and encouraged to engage in. The slightest infractions on the left will be amplified in order to excuse much worse behavior on the right. It's a bully tactic that goes back to grade school.

People can make quips like this without having a metaphorical syndrome, but it does reflect a lapse in good judgement for those on team rationality. It's much better to avoid making jokes that will be picked up as excuses and instead, keep the pressure on the right's clown antics.

The question was unclear if I have read Trump’s policy plans or an unaffiliated think tank’s plans.

I’m very interested in the intersection of those two plans but I doubt anyone here is familiar enough with both to speak to that. It seems that everyone here is just now becoming aware that Trump does actually have a set of official plans.

I've seen allusions to "stage managers" who would presumably be forcing Trump to adopt Project 2025. You guys know Trump couldn't even be bothered to read his daily national security briefings, right? Who exactly is going to be stage managing him?

That’s not a plan. It’s a laundry list.

And on top of all that, the proponents of the plan apparently have a nearly complete disregard for sound science and the dedicated scientists who work tirelessly to improve and correct our understanding of reality, whenever it conflicts with their long-held and cherished beliefs, especially religious dogma. For example, the idea that there can only be two genders, and that everyone is 100% either male or female is provably false. For one thing it ignores the fact that hermaphrodites exist, who have both male and female organs. Whom but themselves should be entitled or qualified to determine with which gender they mostly self-identify?

Besides that, x and y chromosomes are not the absolute and only determinants of even one's physical sexual characteristics. There are rare examples of people born with XY chromosomes who are born with only the physical attributes of females, most of whom self-identify and function as females. There are also rare examples of people born with XX chromosomes who are born only with physical attributes of males, most of whom self-identify and function as males. Would it be remarkable that some of them self'-identify as other than the physical gender they were born with? Given these scientifically established anomalies, should it be remarkable that even normal people with XY and XX chromosomes sometimes self-identify as other than the physical gender they were born as? All people should be allowed to self-identify as the gender with which they deep down feel most comfortable. Government authorities should not have the right or authority to dictate that to them! Neither physical nor psychological gender characteristics and feelings are as black and white or absolutely determined by one's X and Y chromosomes as die-hard conservatives prefer to believe!
