So you've come full circle. You want to phase out social security; you argue that Haley was planning to do this, but you won't vote for her, you'll only vote for Trump, the guy who was too chicken to do it because of optics to older Republican voters. However, you're willing to compromise, in order for Trump to be president, you'll put up with social security. But if Trump can't implement the policy you want to end social security, then why do you want him as president? Recall, the conservative Christians ceeboo knows are voting Trump on policy. You're fully taking the cart before the horse: You want Trump as president not to implement any policies you can think of, in fact, you're willing to make major compromises on policy in order for Trump to be president.

Do you see how ridiculous this is, Ajax?

Let's try again with social security. How about this scenario: Trump runs against Haley, promising to keep social security. Trump wins legitimately. Trump continues to work the system from the inside to cement his power, and successfully cements his rule indefinitely. No more elections. Now he doesn't need the votes of older Republicans, and so he totally ends social security. Would this work for you as a solution?

In the last week, his campaign has spent 5 million dollars on TV ads about the economy and nearly 30 million on Trans hating ads.
Imagine spending $30 million in one week on ads designed to drum up fear and hate of an entire group of free citizens and neighbors, based on two individuals in the prison system having received gender-affirming surgery.

This is what MAGA and Trump are selling to America. It’s beyond me how anyone votes for him at this point without realizing that this is what they’re promoting.

Here’s another reason why people vote for Trump:

This is absolutely not a joke. They want to take us back to the 1800s.

Regardless what he says, it’s a Christian position, not the Christian position. But it’s a position that many proponents of Christian nationalism are dead serious about. I don’t think most Christians understand how extreme the leaders of the movement really are.

The alt-right political press’s attempts to rationalize Trump’s incoherent and dangerous statements have distorted many people's perceptions of reality. This tactic is typical of would-be dictators. It is not an exaggeration to say our democracy is under significant threat.

Trump's tarriffs, being soft on socialist security and even abortion has worked fine. Even Trump's isolationists rhetoric has worked. He had no wars and a great economy on his watch. He got rid of Roe vs Wade and made abortion a state issue. The only reason the border wasn't enforced was the Democrats, not Trump. And if Democrats pull a scamdemic again in an attempt to sabotage the economy, Trump won't be afraid to go full Ron DeSantis on them. Perhaps we'll even cut the left coast off from Florida state tax revenue completely until they abandone their cowardice and get back to work.

I voted for Ted Cruz in 2016 because I thought he was a more principled conservative. The GOP is done with establishment Republicans like Bush, Romney, McCain, Paul Ryan and Haley not because the left didn't also call them Hitler when they led the GOP, but because we've figured out that they weren't really conservative. It was Mitt Romney who talked about cutting welfare to win the nomination but never intended to follow through. It was GWB who claimed to believe in enforcing the border but never did once he was elected.

I liked DeSantis in the 2020 primaries but neither DeSantis nor Cruz could win an election like Trump. And the left hates them both as much or more than Trump. Ron DeSantis is Trumpism without Trump, not Nikki Haley. If JD Vance brings in nonfreemarket ideas like Universal childcare, I can compromise. Women staying at home with their children, leaving the workforce to their lawful husband's, outlawing fornication and divorce and avoiding the two income trap, won't win elections even though that's the right answer. It's still a lot better than critical race theory curriculum, funding BLM arsonists bail, Bernie Sanders communism, Fauci's tyranny, and Bidenflation.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Here’s what you don’t get, Ajax. In the Christian Nation you think you want, you won’t be a Christian. According to Stephen Wolf, author of the very popular The Case for Christian Nationalism, you’ll be executed as a heretic. Populist movements eat their own, and you’ll be a tasty meal.

(My bold, of course.)

Ajax, in your ideal world, government would control every aspect of people's lives. What punishments would be doled out for fornicators?

edit: Isn't your man, Donald Trump, kind of the poster child for divorce and fornication?
