So you've come full circle. You want to phase out social security; you argue that Haley was planning to do this, but you won't vote for her, you'll only vote for Trump, the guy who was too chicken to do it because of optics to older Republican voters. However, you're willing to compromise, in order for Trump to be president, you'll put up with social security. But if Trump can't implement the policy you want to end social security, then why do you want him as president? Recall, the conservative Christians ceeboo knows are voting Trump on policy. You're fully taking the cart before the horse: You want Trump as president not to implement any policies you can think of, in fact, you're willing to make major compromises on policy in order for Trump to be president.
Do you see how ridiculous this is, Ajax?
Let's try again with social security. How about this scenario: Trump runs against Haley, promising to keep social security. Trump wins legitimately. Trump continues to work the system from the inside to cement his power, and successfully cements his rule indefinitely. No more elections. Now he doesn't need the votes of older Republicans, and so he totally ends social security. Would this work for you as a solution?
Trump's tarriffs, being soft on socialist security and even abortion has worked fine. Even Trump's isolationists rhetoric has worked. He had no wars and a great economy on his watch. He got rid of Roe vs Wade and made abortion a state issue. The only reason the border wasn't enforced was the Democrats, not Trump. And if Democrats pull a scamdemic again in an attempt to sabotage the economy, Trump won't be afraid to go full Ron DeSantis on them. Perhaps we'll even cut the left coast off from Florida state tax revenue completely until they abandone their cowardice and get back to work.
I voted for Ted Cruz in 2016 because I thought he was a more principled conservative. The GOP is done with establishment Republicans like Bush, Romney, McCain, Paul Ryan and Haley not because the left didn't also call them Hitler when they led the GOP, but because we've figured out that they weren't really conservative. It was Mitt Romney who talked about cutting welfare to win the nomination but never intended to follow through. It was GWB who claimed to believe in enforcing the border but never did once he was elected.
I liked DeSantis in the 2020 primaries but neither DeSantis nor Cruz could win an election like Trump. And the left hates them both as much or more than Trump. Ron DeSantis is Trumpism without Trump, not Nikki Haley. If JD Vance brings in nonfreemarket ideas like Universal childcare, I can compromise. Women staying at home with their children, leaving the workforce to their lawful husband's, outlawing fornication and divorce and avoiding the two income trap, won't win elections even though that's the right answer. It's still a lot better than critical race theory curriculum, funding BLM arsonists bail, Bernie Sanders communism, Fauci's tyranny, and Bidenflation.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.
