He apparently had some of the docs in his desk. Or as Lawrence O'Donnell put it...in his damn desk!

Meanwhile, Trump's little army of moronic lawyers are doing Merrick Garland's work for him.

So will Trump be in handcuffs today or just some time before the mid term elections or before the 2024 election. Has the FBI and DOJ decided that yet?Vēritās wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 12:16 pmMeanwhile, Trump's little army of moronic lawyers are doing Merrick Garland's work for him.

Yes, you're right Binger. Trump should be given carte blanche when it comes to violating our laws.
Because God forbid anyone try to hold him accountable for it before an election! You do realize there is an election every two years, right? So by your logic we should never try to prosecute anyone who has held office because there is no way to make it look apolitical.
Who gives a crap what it looks like? Either the man broke laws or he didn't. The evidence is overwhelming that he did, and hell he's even admitted it. And in your mind, all focused scrutiny should be on law enforcement for having the audacity to hold him accountable.
It cracks me up that people are still so stupid as to think this is all about stopping Trump in 2024, as if Trump is a serious candidate. We're talking about a guy who got his ass kicked in 2020 by "sleepy Joe" and this was before Jan 6, and his violating of the espionage act.
Already we're seeing Democrats gain momentum for the mid-terms. If history repeated itself the Democrats should be expecting to get completely annihilated and lose both the house and senate, but as things stand the losses in the House appear to be minimal (though likely still going to lose) and they may very well take over the Senate. How is this even possible? Because Trump is a toxic candidate.

Try not lying. I do not advocate for carte blanche and law violations.Vēritās wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 1:41 pm

Sounds to me like you would prefer that Trump run again, given his probability of losing again.

Perhaps Binger will explain when the appropriate time would be to prosecute Trump for any illegal activities he may have engaged in.Vēritās wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 1:41 pm

When is the ‘safe’ time frame, when his voters won’t be offended by holding him accountable?

Re: Mar-A-Lago Legally Searched by FBI
I personally (speculatively, of course) have no doubt there will be lengthy conversations at multiple levels about when to indict, if there is indeed a decision to do so. After the Comey letter, I imagine there’s a hyper-awareness in the DOJ of not wanting to unwittingly (or wittingly) influence elections.
That being said, I don’t really see how a Trump indictment could influence an election in any meaningful way. If anything, it would likely play in the favor of MAGA politicians by mobilizing the MAGA core for maximizing campaign donations, and election turnout. Are there really that many voters still left on the fence regarding Trump?

I do not think that was a typo. I think you actually see the DOJ and FBI prosecuting people for what they "may" have done. And therein lies the problem. Some people are getting a bit fed up with the DOJ and FBI playing politics based on what may have been done based on what may have been said and what they may want for a political foe or political ally.
What was just semantics is now a real thing in the real world. Kangaroo courts and political prosecutions from Schiff, Quantico, Langley and the DOJ are just theater for some people. Others find it a threat to their own security and the security of the country. Some of us don't even give a crap any more.

On the BS, just SMH again. But, at least we agree on the math so that is good.

Perhaps Binger will not explain when the appropriate time would be to prosecute Trump for any illegal activities he may have engaged in, rather, Binger will dodge the question or just label any time that this might occur as ‘inappropriate’. : )Binger wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 3:28 pmI do not think that was a typo.
