It's once again the disconnect between the myth and the reality. MAGA is a heterogenous group and for large sections, certain mythologies are very strong. The anti-vax stuff, pizza gate and Epstein, UFO crash coverups, quack medicine, last days prophecy, and just a whole lot of stuff that the myth of 4547 gets woven into that the man has zero belief and interest in whatsoever. He gets confused because can't he just say anything he wants and his fans believe it? Well, it's not that simple, he's been booed for promoting vaccines. He's been criticized for brushing off the Jersey drones. Much of his base lives in a fantasy world where they personally are at the center of a mysterious conspiracy, while he lives is cold reality of worldly pursuits.
