I'm 38 years old and have had two sexual partners my entire life.

But even when I was single after the divorce (ages 32-35) and that rare thirty-something who'd only had one sexual partner, I wouldn't have dated a guy who was fixated on this. It's not a healthy mindset to have.

I cannot find data that sides with your personal view (I'm not saying such data doesn't exist, I simply can't find it). But I did find this:

So the data says that atheists have found the best motivational reasons to commit, persevere, and stick it out long term in a marriage. What exactly are those reasons that's creating so much motivation and success for them?

One thing my atheist friends would agree with is that love never was nor is it ever 50/50. Whoever said male/female relationships were 50/50 either didn't know how to count or had never been in a relationship.

I bet part of it is that atheists who get married have really thought about it, have more realistic expectations, and want to do it. Two honest people can negotiate a life together a lot better if Jesus isn't a third wheel in the relationship.

Most atheist friends told me they hid their lack of belief because it was a turnoff to women.

I think realistic expectations is something lacking at BYU for sure. You can think forever and never get the oppurtunity to marry without realistic expectations. I've seen people get better at that part after the first divorce. But the baggage makes the second and third marriages even more challenging. If you have kids from a prior marriage you never get rid of that ex.

If I were atheist there's no way I would have married or had children. I'd have played the field as a permiscuous heterosexual forever. I'm not sure why any man would do differently under such a belief system.

Nothing is ideal in this world. All men eventually take whatever they can get whether they admit it or not.
