Well you're probably right. It would be interesting to see what marriage meant at that time. I think the Church's hopes for what marriage as an institution could be are more along with what I described. Could we agree that the breakdown of the family unit and unwed motherhood is not a good thing for children and society?

For the theory that DT is and older perv enjoying posting as a fake persona, I'd point out that he comes off as utterly clueless about sex in this thread in a way that reads as authentically virginal. A good enough writer can fake anything, but I'm not sure he's a good enough writer.
