Kevin, please view, see the hypocrisy

That was great!

Jon Stewart just pwned those koolaid drinking fools.

Doesn't matter if Stewart has captured the true essence of the Republican spin doctor hypocrisy, it was on the Daily Show, and Kevin will not be surprised that you viewed it.

That's right. As soon as the clips are aired on the Daily Show, it's as though they never happened.

Seriously... republicans are an embarrassment this year... well actually, for the last 8 years. Talk about a party for ignorant, stupid people.

Oh gee, let me see the Democrats are far far better. Hypocrisy? Just watch the clips of Biden and Clinton slamming Obama on the one hand and not drooling over him on the other. It would not be hard to dig out clips from CNN or MNBC similar too what Steward did with the Fox clip. They all do and say stupid things.

As for the party for stupid people well I guess you are entitled you your opinion. But to say that all republicans are stupid and ignorant is rather stupid and ignorant. It would be just a dumb for my to say the Democrats are the party of the lazy and free loaders because all they talk about is give away government programs. Or how about the Democrats are weak on defense so they are the party of losers and wimps.

Parties are made up of people of all stripes. Some lazy, some dumb, some smart and succesful and wise. It is too damn bad you stoop to condescension in your pontifications.

That said I thought Palin's speech was well written and well orchestrated. She delivered it superbly and it did exactly what they wanted it to do. She out showed McCain be far.

Personally I think Palin was a poor choice. I am sure she is a fine conservative woman governor and maybe a few years down the road would be a better choice for the republican ticket. There were better women choices if that is what they wanted. The rapid acceptence of her and even seeming adoration it rather surprising to me and I am pretty much a life long republican. Yes I am one of the stupid, dumb and ignorant ones. But the party I grew up with has left me really. I am seriously considering voting for Obama. I watched the interview with O-Reilly last week and want to watch the rest over the next couple night. I was failry impressed with Obama, more than I have been yet.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying.

What I really mean is that the republican party seems to pander to the stupid and ignorant. I'm not saying every republican is stupid and ignorant.

As I've said before, philosophically, I consider myself republican, in that I am all for fiscal conservatism and less government. The problem is that's not what the party is. It's all kinds of religious right attitudes, narrow thinking, invasion of privacy and bogus scare tactics.

I'm sorry, but Bush has been a colossal f*** up, and I don't really see McCain improving the situation when he makes choices like Palin for VP and his history of supporting Bush. I can't help but think that if people really think Bush has done a good job or that McCain would be that much better, they're stupid and/or ignorant.

And I was wholly unimpressed with Palin's speech. There was a marked lack of substance and a whole lot of cheesy innuendo and unnecessary Obama bashing. If people think it's more impressive to bash the opposition than take the high road and campaign on the issues, well, I think that's stupid.

Has speech writer Noonan, ever run for public office? Maybe she should. At least then we'd be looking at the real-deal.

Any body here ever auditioned for a drama part? Sat in to listen to others reading? Had a call-back? Played a role?

Palin did a fairly good reading. Delivered her lines with gusto if not sincerity. The "Lip stick" line was not as good as "Read my lips". But it got a good thoughtless audience reaction. Pit Bulls are what are desired in US politics?? Really??

What are Palin's real credentials, other than raw, boot-strap, ambition? Education? Degrees? Not that those are all that count, but they do add substance to bluff that works in small communities.

Her familial logistics suggests that she might better prioritize her journey. Stay closer to her needful family while she plays her super-mom where she can get-home-in-a-hurry when need-be.

While she appears to have the physical attributes for the job, realistically, they are the least important. (FDR was in a wheel-chair)

It appears that the Presidential candidate, McCain, is counting on the VP candidate, Palin to pull him into office hanging onto her skirts?? Since when has the VP nomination meant more than the Pres's? Who was JFK's running mate? We know because he had to step in, but at election time???

Annnnnnnyway, the rest of the world looks forward to Obama's ability to dialogue. Something Palin made light of in her football mentalitied RA-Ra lipsticked bit-bull image.

Yeah, it wouldn't have made a good soundbite to say "I put the jet on e-bay but sold it to a donor at a loss to the state".

Here's another one for the list:

Palin charges taxpayers to stay in her own home

"It was quite the little scandal," said Tony Knowles, the Democratic governor from 1994 to 2000. "I gave a direction to all my commissioners if they were ever in their house, whether it was Juneau or elsewhere, they were not to get a per diem because, clearly, it is and it looks like a scam -- you pay yourself to live at home," he said.

This is legal, but it certainly doesn't look like someone trying to save the state money. It's taking advantage of a loophole.

Ah I see. I apologize. Yes I can see the pandering. But the Democrats do the same thing with their pandering to those who want government to give them all sorts of stuff and do all sorts of things for them. Both sides pander and I am frankly sick of it.

I'm sorry, but Bush has been a colossal f*** up,

No need to apologize there. He has been a large disappointment for me as well. In fact as I noted. the party I have always affiliated myself with has largely abandon its base and the principles I thought they had. Thus I am considering voting for the democrat this year even though there is much I do not like about Obama.

Noonan is a sharp cookie. She should run for office.

Palin did a fairly good reading. Delivered her lines with gusto if not sincerity. The "Lip stick" line was not as good as "Read my lips". But it got a good thoughtless audience reaction. Pit Bulls are what are desired in US politics?? Really??

The Pit Bull line is simply a metaphor for showing that she is tough and tenacious. I think you know that.

What are Palin's real credentials, other than raw, boot-strap, ambition? Education? Degrees? Not that those are all that count, but they do add substance to bluff that works in small communities.

Mother, Mayor, ran some government agency and governor for almost two year. She has as much if not more experience than Obama has.
Her familial logistics suggests that she might better prioritize her journey. Stay closer to her needful family while she plays her super-mom where she can get-home-in-a-hurry when need-be.

I think this is unfair and as has been noted would never be said about a man. Does anyone worry that Obama might not be home at night to tuck his girls into bed? Clearly in Palin's case her husband will take the lead at home and has already while she has been governor. And what is wrong with that if it works for them.

It appears that the Presidential candidate, McCain, is counting on the VP candidate, Palin to pull him into office hanging onto her skirts?? Since when has the VP nomination meant more than the Pres's? Who was JFK's running mate? We know because he had to step in, but at election time???

Lyndon B Johnson was Kennedy's VP. And yes for Palin is a a mostly politically motivated choice that amazingly seems to so far be paying dividends.
Annnnnnnyway, the rest of the world looks forward to Obama's ability to dialogue. Something Palin made light of in her football mentalitied RA-Ra lipsticked bit-bull image.

Dialogue is nice but I hope Mr. Obama has more to him than the ability to communicate.

Agreed. However, the Democrats play the same games. The whacko Left wing is as bad with their conspiracy theories, pro-late term abortions, and entitlement attitudes.

Hi,

If Mr. George W. Bush was running again for President this Year, I would Not vote for him again. I do believe that his second term has been pretty much horrible and pretty much very horrendous. However, I am definitely Planning on voting for Senator John McCain along with Sarah Palin, this General election in November. I do believe that John McCain is more of an ethical and an honest Person, than George W. Bush. If Senator John McCain does get elected President, I do believe that he would make a very much better President than George W. Bush. I believe that Sarah Palin pretty much had Barack Obama's butt kicked in her speech last week on Wednesday night, and I believe that a few of the Liberals are quite a bit upset about that here. I do believe that it that the time has now come for a female U.S. Vice President. I have Not always voted for Republican throughout my lifetime. For example, when I did lived in California for a while, I did vote for Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein when she was up for Re-Election in that State.
