If I recall correctly, it’s LifeStar Services that employed Jodi Hildebrandt, not Life Changing Services. LifeStar is headquartered in SLC, but has franchises in other states. https://lifestarnetwork.com/the-solution/get-help-now/ Moral panic over porn addiction isn’t limited to Mormons.

One of my aunts is a Harker, so I stalked Maurice’s Facebook page for any sign of my cousins. I’m proud to say my family tree is Maurice Harker free. That Rolling Stone Article is really an eyeful.

Affinity fraud is usually used in conjunction with pyramid and ponzi schemes, but the entire sex addiction treatment industry targeted at Mormons by other Mormons is also Affinity fraud. The former takes your money, but the later screws you up as a person.

Of course, the opportunity for this kind of Affinity fraud is created by the church’s pathologizing of normal sexual feelings and behavior. But I guess that’s what happens when your church is run by old men who obsess over the sec lives of their members.
