Hey Canpakes, I'm having trouble figuring out how to post pictures correctly in threads. I've taken screenshots of images that other members have shared, and I'm curious why their images were accepted without context while mine are not. I believe this small exercise will be helpful for me, and I hope you can guide me on what I might be doing incorrectly.



Consider this post from Dr. Cam. It's merely an image, lacking any explanation for its posting. As a moderator, could you clarify the distinction between the image shared by Dr. Cam and some of the images I've posted?

Hello Canpakes! It's great to connect with you once more! I notice that you seem to be overlooking your responsibilities as a moderator in the thread you created for my questions. Therefore, I thought it would be appropriate to pose the same question here, as this thread is designated for board members to inquire about the rules from moderators.

A few days ago, I shared some images, and you mentioned that they lacked context since I didn't include a written statement explaining their meaning to those viewing my post. I began incorporating context, but it seems I'm still not grasping what you mean by it. I'm hoping that since this thread is specifically designed for asking you questions as a moderator, you'll consider my repeated inquiry here with more seriousness.

Here is an image that, in my view, was shared without context.


Could you please clarify how this image adheres to the rules, especially considering that my images get removed from the thread if I post it without context? I have reviewed the rules several times, yet I am unable to understand what I am doing incorrectly that would warrant the removal of my post.

Have you reported any rules violations by clicking on the report button? That’s a rhetorical question because, as a moderator, I get a notification when someone makes a report. We try to be transparent in terms of how we moderate the board, given that the three of us are volunteers who do not have infinite amounts of time or patience to spend actively policing the board...

Seconding this. It is encouraged that folks report posts that are suspected of violating the rules. The mod team will review all reports and act accordingly on violations...

We’ve definitely had our share of more hardcore abusers...

Given we are down at least one moderator, and also given you have asked this (and gotten the same answer) in at least several of your previous iterations, why don't you try what two mods suggested in the above?

Hello Canpakes. To my knowledge, there are three moderators for this board. Am I incorrect?

I'm not particularly interested in the opinions of the other moderators, although their input would be appreciated. My focus is on your perspective, Canpakes, since you were the one who removed my post.

I'm keen to understand the rule you applied to justify that decision. Once more, the image I shared above lacks context unless I am incorrect. I would like you to provide an explanation. Thank you, I value your feedback.
