The 2K total passed the House.

If anyone finds something that states what the relief is per child, please post it. I am not seeing any differentiation between child and adult relief checks. Example: I found an article or something last night that suggested 2K per adult and $500. per child. I am not seeing anything about that after today's House vote. All I am seeing is stated as increased to 2K without specification and I don't feel like listening to the House vote but I may do that later.

Why is it when I'm not around you start to speak common sense? You've rubbed shoulders with the hard left for quite some time. Are you really surprised that they're not concerned about inflation?I’m surprised no one seems to be concerned about inflation, though. It’s already pretty noticeable for this fiscal year. I guess we’ll see.

How about this? Instead of giving us back $600 or $2000, how about just not take it from us in the first place?
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Whatever happened to hyperinflation that Fox news promised us throughout Obama's first term?

Inflation isn't necessarily a bad thing, especially for anyone who owns debt. Which is like, literally everyone.

Re: I finally agree with Trump
I'll give an example of what I meant by my above statement. So, I mentioned up thread that I'm having guys build garden boxes at my SIL's place for $3k. Well, I had originally wanted to hire a handyman who did some work for me in the past. The dude needs work, and I had a project.
My intent was for him to build eight garden boxes at 2 1/2' W x 8' L x 3' high using 4 x 4 treated lumber. I wanted some lining and some dirt, too. He went to a supplier to price out material and I was shocked at how much lumber went up in price from last year to this, it was nearly double. It put the cost WAY outside of my budget and I had to go with a different guy who could keep costs down because he already had his supply secured, a crew, and I went with different dimensions (and material). My income hadn't changed that much from last year to this. What changed was the price of goods. As a result I had to go with a different guy and a different design. Who was really hurt from the inflation? Handyman was.
Wages, as they have, aren't going to keep up with inflation generally speaking, and if we experience rapid inflation, which is what happens when you create fiat currency to pay for crap beyond whatever normal tolerances exist. We've seen this play out across hundreds of countries over and over again. I don't think we'll experience a Zimbabwe inflation rate, but I do have concern that in the next year and however many to follow, we'll experience 5+%/year, which would actually hurt the middle and lower classes.

Handing money to people who already have money is just business. We have to support "job creators."Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 5:53 pmNot a damned peep from xanax or the jenius. I guess handing their money over to billionaires is cool.
Handing out cash to everyday Americans? Communism.
Wealth redistribution is totally cool if it's being redistributed to the narrow group of people who don't need it. That's the GOP way. If redistribution actually helps Americans, it's a leftist plot to destroy America.

Re: I finally agree with Trump
Man, the debt this is going to cause is outrageous. If only Trump weren't so incompetent and handled the pandemic like most other countries instead of like a shithole tin pot dictator, we'd have saved a ton of future debt. But no, he had to deny it's existence and hoped like a damned child the problem would go away on its own. He screwed our economy. Of course, that was inevitable, since Trump's idea of governing is sending out reactive tweets and playing golf.
But the right only pretends to care about government finances. If they actually care about the deficit/debt, they must be some combination of debilitatingly stupid and braindead ignorant.
