I've contemplated creating a Donald Trump megathread.
It would be easier to rename Spirit Paradise. : )

I'm inquiring if you could kindly let me know if there is anything I'm doing incorrectly in my thread postings that would justify a Mega thread?
Nothing yet. MEGA threads are for when people make multiple posts per day about pretty much the same subject, not for when they reply within threads. (An exception is when their replies within threads are consistently derailments, but that doesn't apply to you.)
If I deserve a Mega thread, then why don't all the threads that progressives initiate about Trump and MAGA also warrant a Mega thread? 90% of their threads are about Trump or the supposed stupidity of conservatives. Thank you very much!

Dr. Shades, I noticed you commented in the Terrestrial forum around the same time my thread was relocated to the paradise forum. Could you please explain why my thread was moved? The discussion centered on contrasting Mormonism with other religions that exhibit a similar lack of openness.

It appeared to be focused on Progressivism, with Mormonism merely being an introduction to it.

I composed four paragraphs: the first discusses Mormonism, the second covers the JWs, the third focuses on progressivism, and the fourth poses questions regarding all three. Yet, you interpreted that as me emphasizing progressivism?

However, I must express my gratitude. By relocating my thread within 20 minutes of its posting in the Terrestrial, you demonstrated my point that progressives are more sensitive to their ideological beliefs than Mormons and JWs.

In my view, it seems you relocated my thread because you are aware that the progressives on the board are too entrenched in their beliefs to handle any criticism in the Terrestrial forum. Thank you, I look forward to demonstrating my point in my thread here in Spirit Paradise.

That's if the moderators permit it to remain here; who knows, tomorrow Canpakes might relocate it to Spirit Prison.

If I was wrong, then I'll move it back.

Was I wrong?

Indeed, you are quite mistaken! The thread begins with my experience as a Mormon, followed by my departure from Mormonism and the feelings of exclusion I encountered when discussing it with family and friends during my exit.

Over the years, I have faced similar exclusion in two other belief systems: the Jehovah's Witnesses and progressivism. The initial paragraph serves as a personal account of my experience as a Mormon and later as an ex-Mormon, highlighting the challenges of facing exclusion due to my beliefs as an ex-Mormon, and subsequently encountering similar exclusion from my friends who are Jehovah's Witnesses and those who identify as progressive.

In the second paragraph, I draw a comparison between JWs and Mormons throughout the text. In the third paragraph, I am making a comparison between progressives and Mormons. In the final paragraph, I inquire with the Terrestrial forum whether they have encountered a similar disconnect with Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, and progressives. The shared theme across all four paragraphs is my experience as a Mormon, which has guided me to a conclusion through my interactions with two distinct groups of people.

I believe you made an error by moving my thread. To further demonstrate your error, consider the placement of my thread in a forum where no other threads engage in discussions about Mormonism. But hey, I'll just share a different experience in the Terrestrial forum, making it Mormon-centric this time, even though the rules don’t specify that a thread must be at least 51% Mormon-centric to remain in the Terrestrial forum!

This is the first thing I see here today?

For the record. There are ALL kinds of insults. Cam and others are simply more straightforward in their delivery. Lack of profanity or graphic descriptors in one's composition isn't a sign of respectful discourse or intent. That's not what this forum is about anyway. The message holds the intent. Speaking only for myself I would much rather see insults delivered straight up than thinly disquised insults embedded in a wall of text or failure to engage which are all a means of disruption

Sure, that works for me! If you enjoy direct exchanges of insults, let's request the moderators to provide a list of suitable terms we can use against each other and see who comes out on top in the insult game! Are you comfortable with that? It’s me up against DrCamnPP, Bishop Schmo, and Molok. That appears reasonable to me!

Or are you scared they will lose?

Hello Canpakes, Jersey Girl wants to witness everyone, not just DrCamnPP and Bishop Schmo, engaging in direct insults with each other rather than what she perceives as indirect insults that she believes I post. Is there a way to obtain a list of words we can use to offend each other?
