If you’re going to go off topic. I’m going to ask you: if you think that the Chinese were out to get us with COVID, why did you bitch so much about masks and mitigation efforts?

No comments about this nasty article? Well it is also an intelligent article with sharp observations sharply presented. It is just the problem lurking in back of peoples reaction to Goldberg's comment, somethings too uncomfortable to discuss much on public tv.Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 5:55 amIn 1967, James Baldwin wrote an essay that illustrates the complicated relationship between American blacks and American Jews during the civil rights era. https://archive.nytimes.com/www.nytimes ... .html?_r=1

Spotify?ajax18 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 1:25 amWhat if it's not misinformation as in the case of the lab leak theory? Why does Biden get to define what misinformation is?Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 12:39 am
Different kind of LOL, as that's exactly the article I read to understand what you were talking about. But nothing in the article is about Spotify.
Legally and constitutionally, the federal government can take some extraordinary measures to protect the public health. It hasn't come close to using them. Applying pressure to reduce misinformation and disinformation doesn't even come close to constitutional boundaries.
But that was Facebook. Where is your evidence about Spotify?
The Biden administration has no problem pressuring private companies to squelch free speech.

Because the "mitigation efforts" were far worse than the disease ever could be. And we knew that the left knew this from early May when the left viewed people going to school or work as having blood on their hands while simultaneously viewing violent BLM protests of 2020 as necessary.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

that's a tough claim to make unless you have some data that no- one else has about how hospitals would have dealt with a full-blown pandemic without any mitigation efforts.ajax18 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 3:37 pmBecause the "mitigation efforts" were far worse than the disease ever could be. Regarding masks, your claim makes no sense. How did mask-wearing destroy any economy?
Would any mitigation effort have been off the table for you?

The hospitals did deal with the pandemic. The doctors, nurses, engineers, administrators, maintenance and food staff and even clergy all dealt with the pandemic. They worked hard. If you recall, even your buddies at CNN have acknowledged that the cloth masks did not work, which is all anyone had at the time. The masks were never a mitigation effort, they still are not a mitigation effort. They are theater. The vaccines do not stop contraction or transmission, see USA, see Israel, see anywhere. You do not know a damn thing about hospitals and other than having your tubes tied during a pandemic, you probably won't need to be in one for COVID either.

Blankets and heaters don’t work when it’s cold, either, considering that folks have still become frost bitten or died in the presence of either.

Blankets work. Heaters work. And if two teams play in the Super Bowl, but only one team wins, they still both played.
Do you have a point you are trying to make, panny? Or, are you just throwing things at the rim and hoping it falls through.
You have not one goddamn clue what hospitals have done during this pandemic. You are a sucker and a pest. The hospitals dealt with the pandemic, the virus, the fear the fear-porn and the people. They dealt with a lot. You did not.

Nope.
Canpakes is (rather obviously) responding to your flat assertion that "The vaccines do not stop contraction or transmission [of the COVID virus]".
Everybody knows that the effect of vaccination is to reduce the chance of your contracting the virus, not to eliminate it entirely. Vaccinating someone does not reduce the chance of infection to zero (though it does reduce it a great deal). Similarly, blankets do not reduce the chance of frostbite to zero, they just reduce it a great deal.
You know all that, of course. Perhaps it just excites you a bit to make a statement that some people will read as "vaccines are useless" when you know very well that they are not? I can't think of any other reason why you would choose to write like that on a topic that, for those wondering whether to get vaccinated, may be a matter of life or death.
