Why go to an absurdity?

Amen and awoman.Because he was a beneficiary of systemic racism and we are doing something about that.
Latinx? Really? Does anyone in Latin America really use that instead of Latino or latina? What exactly is the value of the priesthood to someone who doesn't believe in it?I wonder where Mitt and Mike Lee stand on Black and Latinx women having the priesthood.
The same value as someone who does believe it, minus any placebo effect.
So, your “doing something about it” is to post on an obscure message board that Mitt Romney’s father, George Romney, who is dead, should have his wealth stripped from him? I’m not sure cleverness is your strong suit.

Doc, looks like we’re seeing the disingenuous ‘wealth redistribution’ straw man being thrown in, which isn’t part of the systemic racism argument.Cultellus wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 6:07 pmIf George Romney and his heirs shared the wealth and promotions that were generated by the consolidation of the independent auto companies then we should not redistribute his wealth. If George Romney and his heirs benefited from racial inequality we should revisit that or see if we like what they are doing today. It is probably easier to just have Mitt on our side for now.
Can someone untangle this babble into a coherent thought?Cultellus wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 6:07 pmIf George Romney and his heirs shared the wealth and promotions that were generated by the consolidation of the independent auto companies then we should not redistribute his wealth. We need to redistribute systemically but in an opposite direction and if some groups rose to wealth or power because of systemic racism we should remove their wealth and power if it is not helpful for us right now. Not doing this is racist.canpakes wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 6:15 pmwe’re seeing the disingenuous ‘wealth redistribution’ straw man being thrown in, which isn’t part of the systemic racism argument.
But it does illustrate what drives some opponents of the idea of systemic racism - that some black or brown person is coming to ‘take their stuff’.
George kept marching. He also famously turned down a bonus from American Motors. He said his salary was enough. When I reflect upon the Prophet’s statements and remember what happened to three of our nation’s presidents who were very active in the Negro cause, I am sobered by their demise. They went contrary to the teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith- unwittingly, no doubt, but nevertheless, the prophecy of Joseph Smith...
You might say that George Romney was one of the good Republicans and was a credit to his party. The Brethren disliked his support for civil rights, but that was due to their own failings and separation from God.
