One has to wonder what the hell is going on. How are they this bad at cheating? Seriously how long does it take to stuff fake votes into a box? Are they searching for dead people? Registered people that didn't show? Are they coming up with which R votes to shred? Weird.

You are hinting at cheating without providing anything but an eyebrow waggle. It’s clear something is screwed up in the county - the Senate undercount is extremely dubious statistically - but there’s no reason to assume malice at this time. There’s reason to believe there’s a lot of yet to be counted Democrat votes there, so get your freak out pants on if you wish.

Yes. If such a body had sharp teeth, partisans would try to coopt it almost immediately. An FDA for elections nationally is a bad idea. Laws protecting voter rights and the courts is the way to go.

On a separate note, I think you said McSally locked it up. The Arizona GOP is currently suing to prevent mail in ballots from being counted which suggests they aren’t 100% confident in a win yet.

Wouldn’t it be equally likely (if not more-so) that the delay is because Broward has 1.8 million more people than Bay has?

When you throw a crap-ton of population at a government operation, stuff is going to suck sometimes.

The green party screws it up again... Angela Green ran on the Green ticket and got nearly 40,000 votes, roughly 2% of the overall vote. More than enough to overcome the deficit for Sinema. I have a hard time imagining Green party voters voting Republican.

Well I voted and everything went smoothly enough.

Then I get home to find out that in downtown Atlanta all hell is breaking loose. More than 70 voting machines were provided without the power cables and people were waiting hours in line. There were probably 16 machines where I voted for a line of about 300-400 people. The footage from the news downtown showed there were sometimes only a few machines for lines much longer than that. I guess much of it is based on how organized and prepared each county is.

This was reported somewhere in the SLTrib a day or two ago -- I believe the story said that the sheriff showed up with dogs at a large house (maybe 9 bedrooms?) where many of the employees of a bar live -- somehow it was believed to be suspicious because so many people had registered to vote with the same address.

Really? A dog? Does the dog sniff out voter fraud? That was just pure intimidation.

Also, there are some issues with Utah county processing ballots, but I'm not overly worried at this point (although the gerrymandering prop is hanging on by something like a thousand votes).

No, other areas with even more don't seem to be having any issues.

Well, we shall find out what has happened in those counts pretty soon, won't we?

Somewhere in the country there has to be the most messed-up and ill organised count, and this could just be it.

Do you have any alternative proposals apart from waiting to see? (I do hope you don't ...)
