I said that the heritage foundation were not the architect of his policies. Which they are not. Right or wrong he is a leader....everything goes through him, and like any good business man they find, hopefully, very smart people to carry out their business model and plan. Does he have advisors for his plans, sure, but not architects of his plan or business model.

What he is doing is his plan, his business model and nobody else's, To Make America Great Again, I believe that. Where did I write "policy details?" You just made that up like the donut guy thing. Trump is at top of the chain of command so to speak, details come down the chain all the way to execution and QC.
Alright, you’ve convinced me that you believe that Trump has coincidentally hired dozens of people who authored specific policy statements and sections within the Project 2025 document, with their policies subsequently becoming part of the new Administration, because he has nothing to do with Project 2025, yet wants these policies enacted because he actually thought them up first, and just told the Project 2025 folks to include it in their plan so that he could claim that he never heard of these plans later. That, and because he’s shy about being the author of all of these policies that are exactly the same as what was found in Project 2025 when it was published over a year ago. But, yeah - there’s no connection at all, it’s just the same approaches, nearly word for word, policy by policy, strictly by chance.

Now that you’ve established who is responsible, are you telling me that The Architect - the Mighty Lyin’ King himself - either cared not to develop any fentanyl crisis plan other than Mass Deportations!! or Tariffs!!, or that he simply didn’t think that the crisis was worth any more thinking than that?

I’m getting the distinct impression that Trump either doesn’t know how to address the problem in any sort of multifaceted way, or simply doesn’t care.
Another word salad of things I did not say. Again, he is using all the departments he has, along with tariffs, and in just three weeks the southern border in more in control than it has been is years. Some reports are up to 90% on the southern border and 60% on the Northern border of crossings, which drug traffic would obviously be included. He seems to be doing quite well in just 3 and a half weeks.

Google the drug seizures in the past few weeks. The Mexican government just busts a lab with 4 tons of meth, no doubt from pressure from Trump and tariff threats.

You have no idea what you are talking about, it is a word salad like I wrote.

Lets see how this folds out, again, it hasn't even been a full month yet.

I thought you were a little more up to speed....

This is the general definition what is meant by an open border, from wikipedia.

An open border is a border that enables free movement of people (and often of goods) between jurisdictions with no restrictions on movement and is lacking substantive border control.

I am taking it a bit further is asking you no CBP at all.

It is not really a hard question to answer.
Easy. I’ve already answered that new, related question, as the answer is implied by the second half of my statement.

The person needing to ‘get up to speed’ does not appear to be the person answering your questions before you even ask them. : D

I did indeed elaborate by adding a few more words to your conclusion that Trump sits down and thinks out all of the Administration’s policies all by himself. All of the near-exact similarities to Project 2025 material are just weird coincidence.

Are you telling me that you’ve changed your mind on this in the last 30 minutes?

Anyhow, let me know when Trump decides to try something other than tariffs and mass deportation as means to eliminate the fentanyl crisis and resolve addiction.

Given how you wrote the question quoted above, and the blue bolded part specifically, clarify:

Yes! to ‘no CBP at all’ ?
No! to ‘no CBP at all’ ?
… or …
Yes! to CBP ?
No! to CBP ?

Lol, yes words that I did not say and that change the context of what I said, and muck it up....i.e. A word salad. The context that you asserted that P-25 were the architectures of his presidency, which is just false. You are just making stuff up like you did with the donut thing.

This is exactly what I mean about most folks here being unable to answer the simple question.

I tell you what, I'll make it easy. I will just assume, by your insistence that deporting people that are here illegally is wrong, and because of your inability to even say people here that do not follow our current laws are here illegally i,e, "border crossers," that you want a open border without any type of CBP system, rules or laws, defining and prohibiting entrance and passage. And anyone, from any country, can come into this country when ever they want without consequence, or being vetted on their character and past behaviors from where ever they came. And that they are eligible to all the right and privileges offered by the government.

So given this is your belief, which is what I gathered from the cryptic things you are writing. At this point, what should we do with our current CBP system? Should we just lay them all off and remove all border facilities, except for maybe places like El Paso, and just erect signs saying "welcome to the USA?"

In regard to places where there is significant travel....what will the folks there checking folks that travel through, be looking for?

So you claim. I see it otherwise, and have provided rationale and lists above to support my own POV. If you disagree, contest those points rather than just stamping your feet and indignantly proclaiming, “Nuh-uhh!” Or don’t. It’s all good.

It helps to write clearly, but two people have already answered you, so the issue may be closer to you than you think.
I tell you what, I'll make it easy. I will just assume, by your insistence that deporting people that are here illegally is wrong, …
Weird. I’ve never insisted such a thing, but do go on.
… and because of your inability to even say people here that do not follow our current laws are here illegally i,e, "border crossers," ..
Oops. You’re wrong there, too, considering how often I’ve used the term, ‘illegals’, across multiple threads. But, do go on.
… that you want a open border without any type of CBP system, rules or laws, defining and prohibiting entrance and passage.
Well, damn. Considering my remark in how I believe that a border entry point in a high-traffic zone like El Paso is absolutely (I did use that exact word) preferred, you’ve now struck completely out. But why stop here? Do go on.
And anyone, from any country, can come into this country when ever they want without consequence, or being vetted on their character and past behaviors from where ever they came.
I think that you imagined this one after the night sweats brought on by that late evening In-n-Out triple ‘Animal Style’ burger that you were cautioned not to eat.

But, do go on.
And that they are eligible to all the right and privileges offered by the government.
Oh, you’ve already forgotten about my proposal for a probationary period from assistance programs even for LPRs, contingent on meeting particular legal goals, which is a stricter standard than what the Trump Administration now requires. I’ve only posted that for you a few times, already.

But, here’s a shovel. Do go on, and keep digging yourself in.
So given this is your belief, which is what I gathered from the cryptic things you are writing.
Who knew that English was so cryptic?
At this point, what should we do with our current CBP system? Should we just lay them all off and remove all border facilities, except for maybe places like El Paso, and just erect signs saying "welcome to the USA?"
If you pitch that to Trump with the condition that you’ll kick back a few thousand bucks to him from each sign installation, he may just take you up on that.

I’d suggest that you don’t use Comic Sans for the sign’s font, though. Nobody likes Comic Sans.
In regard to places where there is significant travel....what will the folks there checking folks that travel through, be looking for?
The same things that they do now.

And maybe some Bosas Donuts.

I think we know a couple of things:

1) mass deportations of migrant workers will have no effect on fentanyl supply or demand
2) mass deportations of migrant workers will not improve surveillance at the border, vett character of anyone at the border, or stop anyone from crossing the border.

Markk reminds me of Toucan Sam. The most memorable part of all those Fruit Loops commercials I watched as a kid came at the end, when it was announced that Fruit Loops was "a part of this nutritious breakfast," and it would show a bowl of Fruit Loops along with toast and juice.

Toast and juice arguably achieve the bare criteria of nutritious. Adding Fruit Loops arguable does not negate the nutrition from the toast and juice. Legal probably reviewed this a hundred times to make sure the wording worked.

Raids on cartel supply chains, like orange juice, may count toward a dent in the Fentanyl supply. Increasing the border patrol like toast, may slow supply a little also. But mass deportations, like Fruit Loops, is the main dish father Trump promised his crying children. Markk, like Toucan Sam, knows darn well it has zero to do with eradicating Fentanyl. And so he presents it as part of the overall drug enforcement plan, and if anyone objects, he points to the other components of the breakfast: "are you saying toast and juice aren't healthy??!"
